Consistently awful. I'll never use them again. They were marketing my property but it wasn't getting any viewings so I asked 2 people to mystery shop them and ask for a viewing at a) my property specifically and b) a property with the description, location and price of my property, in both cases the sales people actively AVOIDED selling a viewing and focused on cheaper properties instead, even when reaffirming the property they wanted to see, the agent said they had no properties in that area, when the caller directed the agent to their own ad on Rightmove, the agent said oh, thats beautiful, lets book you in for a viewing.
After I complained to the office manager, who didnt actually have a clue what to do, and didnt seem to get that no matter how well its advertised, if someone calls and they're told its not available, it isnt going to be let.
I eventually spoke to another agent who recommended a lower rent, then Brannen said they'd advised that too, but they certainly did not.
Then they decided to let the property and take it off the market to someone who was only working part time, and had a guarantor, without even speaking to me about it. When I realised I questioned why it'd been removed from the website, they said the tenants had already paid their fees (x 2, as there was a guarantor too). When I questioned further, the guarantor was self employed, but had only been self employed for 18 months, I asked what was needed to pass self employed credit check - they told me that person would need 3 YEARS ACCOUNTS! So basically they'd taken the poor peoples money, without asking me if I considered them suitable. They had no answer to this conundrum, the Lettings Manager said he didnt do the credit checks so he didnt know the process.

My partner and I have rented a property for the last two years. The staff at the Park View office are just awful to deal with and I use the word deal loosely. They do not seem to understand the words customer and loosely. On our first visit one lady was complaining to us about another member of staff which was very uncomfortable. It is incredibly hard to speak to the right person on the phone as no one wants to help or do their jobs. A few of the women I've dealt with have been incredibly disrespectful and patronising. I'll not go into specifics but no one has helped us with any queries, they've just been rude.
They have departments for every small task and each one will refuse to help you with any other. This is very frustrating, I'm a teacher and cannot spend hours on the phone trying to track down the correct person.
I must say Norriece is professional, friendly and actually listens to your queries rather than tutting and looking down her nose at you (yes, this has happened!)
They also demand cash for fees and deposits which just screams unprofessional.
An awful company.

My partner and I recently moved into a property which we rented from Brannen and Partners.
Despite telling Sam Winters I was 6 months pregnant and that there were repairs that needed to be made I was ignored. His mode of contact was to send one third party repairman who didn't know what he was doing, nor did the repairman from Digon Services turn up sometimes or when he did -didn't bother giving a 48 hour notice.
I haven't dared unpack the cot I bought for the baby in fear it will be covered in mold. There is damp everywhere. The only paint work that was done from Dave at Digon Services was to paint over the mold....
We now wait Brannen and Partners response when two of the walls in the main bedroom are soaking wet. I cannot sleep on the bed with the amount of.damp.
The amount of furinture damage is huge and lack of concern from Brannen and Partners about a pregnant woman and her child's immiment arrival is worrying.

Myself and my partner moved into a property by advertised by themselves. Despite not having anything to do with the actual property and putting us directly in touch with the landlord they charged us nearly �300 in fees. I've no idea what these fees were for as the credit and refernece checks were carried out by another company entirely.
Our main complaint is the attitude of their staff. We always got the impression they were snotty and speaking down to us. Terrible customer service skills and never contacted us once to let us know how the checks were going. We had to chase them for updates after waiting for over 2 weeks.
Another area of concern is that they don't take card payments which in this day and age is inexcusable. Other than for tax avoidance purposes I don't know why a letting agent would do this? We had to withdraw cash over a number of days to ensure we staed within our withdrawal limits and this was a huge inconvenience. Traveling to and from the agency with nearly �2000 in cash also carries an element of risk.
We definitely don't want to deal with Brannen & Partners again.

Brannen and partners have acted for me in several capacities since the year 2000. In the first place they are the managing agents for the apartment building, in the second place they were my factor for the letting and maintenance of my flat and lastly they were the selling agents when I finally decided to sell. In all activities I could rely on them to ensure my property was well maintained by regular inspection and arranging for repairs and decoration, to find good tenants and organize the letting and finally to find a buyer. My requests to them were promptly, courteously and efficiently handled. I do not hesitate to recommend them.

I am currently renting a property managed by this agency. I moved in a month and a half ago. I have never lived in the UK before, so I think that I have been and still being exploited to the maximum. There was a week's delay in my moving in date, which resulted in staying at hotels for almost a month from the time I arrived in the UK. Just before I signed the contract, I asked the agent if everything has been checked in the property and all the appliances are working properly. I received a yes, of course. So, I moved in, it was the filthiest apartment I have ever seen in my life, tried to clean as much as I could, but I didn't have water in the flat. Thankfully some neighbours helped me with this by showing me where the water valve was in the building. When I got in the apartment, I realised why the water was turned off: the over the bath shower was dripping constantly and the water was getting wasted, so every time I was not in the apartment I had to switch the water valve. My washing machine had a broken door handle and my fridge didn't work, it actually produced heat. The extraction fan worked for one time, then it short-circuited, so I've never turned it on again. Contact after contact, excuse after excuse, I am still in an apartment that i pay a LOT of money for nothing. I cannot cook and store my food, and that is terrible. I would seek advice to see if I can breach the agreement and move somewhere else. They don't care about the tenants.

This estate agents is an absolute disgrace. They have no interest in the welfare of their tenants and are interested only in finding ways to keep bonds and insult customers. My partner rented a flat from them in a disgusting state (due to desperation at the time) and proceeded to improve the property over his tenancy. There were holes in the walls, damp under every windows, windows themselves had not been fitted properly which the guys who came to fix them pointed out and said it was a trade mark of another gentleman that worked there, wallpaper was hanging off the walls and the fire was leaking carbon monoxide which coincedentally did not get checked as often as the law states and it was only because the landlord agreed to put central heating in the flat that it was found. Bearing in mind he had improved the value of the property so Brannens can now rent it at a higher price, the lady on the last visit to hand over keys was insulting, had no knowledge of what the property looked like beforehand, had a description about the flat that was frankly untrue as it didn't mention any of the faults, and told us it was our obligation to improve the property since we were there longer than most tenants. They took no interest in the improvements and refused to give the bond back. Not to mention they were all incredibly rude and frankly insulting and argumentative

We arranged to rent a property through them and was a nightmare from start to finish. Thank god they are not managing the property. After arriving to pay the deposit they didn't tell us that we had to pay cash. We then had to go away and find the cash. I asked if we can pay on card for the bond and months rent in advance and was told we could. We were then given a moving in date so arranged with our current landlord to move out with enough time to move and clean the current property. One week before the arranged date we received an email putting the dates back leaving us only a couple days to complete the move. We then turned up to pay the final balance and collect the keys. After signing all of the contracts they then informed us we had to find nearly £1500 in cash!!!!! They don't even have a card machine. I didn't realise that when entering the building we were teleported back to the 80's!!!!! The snotty woman tried to explain that they had to deal with clear funds. She obviously doesn't have a clue how modern banking works!!! I then offered to make an instant bank transfer and was told they had no way to check if the funds have cleared. Embarrassing!!!! If we knew this before hand we would never have paid the deposit. We then had to borrow the money off family that don't really have the cash spare. We couldn't take the keys so had even less time to move in.

Genuinely care about people who work...pay rent on time and look after the properties! See and act on the different TYPE of tenant and bend the rules if appropriate!!

When i saw the flat i wanted was up with Brannen my heart sank. Both me,my sister and dad find their attitude generally unfeeling. I am sure they're following policies and procedures...but i'm sure companies can change trends a certain amount. Checking i'm not wrecking the flat every 6 months is a bit excessive!! Why can't they use their discression instead of me taking time off work every 6 months? When i rang with a problem most of the employers have a tone of 'it's not OUR fault?!' which gets one's back up straight away. I work for the NHS and find dealing with money grabbers difficult. More customer service understanding needed for the women in that company needed. I'll never use them again. Nor do i want to discuss it with them.
