We had such a stressful time looking for a flat – but were in safe hands with Atkinson McLeod. We spoke to a huge number of Estate Agents, but Hollie and the Atkinson McLeod team were by the far the friendliest, clearest, and most efficient. From our slightly (very) frazzled arrival at the viewing, to eventually being able to collect the keys – Hollie was helpful, supportive, and reassuring. WOW- Where do I start.
I had the misfortune of being abused by Sofia Santos, from this terrible agency.
It all started because they were listing a property online which (of course) was not available due to the tenant renewing (they then didn't take this down).
I received so many phone calls and e-mails, despite repeatedly asking them to stop harassing.
When I took one of their calls this Sofia Santos was abusive and rude, accused me of lying, laughed at me and generally acted like a 14 year old chav down the phone.
If they lie and then get abusive when you call them on it... I would avoid!

End of the story was, that the landlord claimed around £700 for lost furniture from our deposit. The Deposit Protection Scheme made a positive decision for us in the end (we got the full deposit back). But it took around 4 months and a lot of paperwork. Never again Atkinson McLeod.

In my case, I cycled across London in my lunchtime to make a viewing only to find an email (sent with less than an hours notice) from the estate agent to say *the tenant* had declined the viewing.
It is completely unacceptable to cancel with such short notice for this reason.

Rosemary is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. I am a property developer with a lot of experience searching for properties and working with estate agents and I have found Rosemary to be highly professional, straightforward, well-prepared for every viewing and an absolute pleasure to deal with. She listens to what I am looking for and gets in touch with properties that she feels would suit me, rather than sending over any details on properties she's trying to shift (a rare thing!). If I could give this Agency a "zero star," I would. This has been one of the most grueling processes of my life, almost as bad as getting a UK Visa! Coming from New York, I am used to fast-paced efficiency. When you pay the holding deposit, you are supposed to get your information cleared and ready-to-go within a week. This agency, however, took three months (!) to send my flatmates' guarantor information. They refused to send a contract until we called their office, again 3 months later. And when we finally got through to *, within one day he wrote a "sorry, I'm on vacation" email. This is RIDICULOUS! Not only has this company treated our group like they did not want us, they all but ensured our miserable stay-- if they can manage to find the paperwork to send us through! Never in my life have I dealt with such frustrating inefficiency. If you are a student, STAY AWAY.

After having completed my property purchase with Paul and Rosemary, I'm happy to say that my first impressions of them were accurate and they carried on to provide excellent customer service to me throughout the purchasing process. Buying a house is not always straightforward but Paul and Rosemary were helpful, hardworking and helped both me and the vendor to solve problems quickly. I am so pleased I bought my property through them and I cannot recommend them highly enough as estate agents.

It all seemed to going well when ** showed my housemate and I around a lovely 2 bed flat in Waterloo that was absolutely ideal for our need. As we were very keen, we put a holding deposit down on that day to ensure that we obtained the property (apparently these are only valid for 48 hours but we were never informed)
This is where the problems started as it took another 2 working days for **them to return with the offer form, which I returned within a matter of hours (I guess by now my entire deposit was invalid - thanks Atkinson Mcleod). At this point all communication from Ryan ceased and when I finally got hold of him on Monday he had unfortunately been in a small car accident and would not be in work all week. I was then told that in his absence his manager Ben would pick up his work. Ben was obviously too busy to care about **their clients so after repeatedly phoning, emailing, leaving messages with various colleagues I got through to Will. No issues with Will as he actually took the time to find out what was going on and helpfully gave me an update after having transferred £400 over a week before!
It turns out that the deposit only lasted for 48 hours and the landlord had apparently rejected the offer. Unfortunately for me, nobody thought to inform me and completely inhibited me from putting an offer on other properties due to the deposit Atkinson Mcleod still held. My worry is that Atkinson Mcleod took multiple holding deposits and simply kept me in the dark until a better offer came through for their client. In the time that anyone from Atkinson Mcleod failed to communicate with me, our potential move in date actually had actually moved forward by 3 weeks which the landlord would have undoubtedly accepted.
Don't even bother wasting your time with these guys - shocking service.
