I'm a landlord and was contacted by AM Balham in response to an ad I placed with Gumtree for my flat to rent. Despite usually ignoring agent responses, on this occasion I decided to give them a try and have been very impressed with everyone I dealt with there. Organised, efficient and genuinely helpful - for example checking the boiler was working when I was at home 100 miles away. Gareth was my main contact and he negotiated and sealed a deal with some good new tenants. All the other staff I dealt with from Chris (lettings manager) to Meadows and Anita were all equally good and professional. A refreshing change from some agents I have usually previously.

I am very pleased with this firm. When I was looking for a place to rent, Anita from their Balham branch was great: very helpful, and made it very easy for me to be able to deal with all the paperwork, the references, etc so I could move in smoothly. I've just moved in and Gareth Litherland of the Balham branch was extremely helpful, courteous, honest (I know, I couldn't believe it either, an honest estate agent), professional and polite even when tensions were high among my less than helpful housemates. From offer in to acceptance was a long time to the point where we all gave up and looked elsewhere and found somewhere, took that place off the market only to then discover that all was not lost. So we lost some money, but thanks to Gareth dragging the glacial AM into action we found what we wanted and at the right price. I'll rate them again on here once we've moved out.
