I was trying to buy a property through Ashtons- Welwyn Garden City. My opinion is that they are very rude and unprofessional estate agents and ripped off me. They blackmailed me to agree for delayed completion after accepted my offer and issued a sales letter and after I spent money for Building Survey and Solicitor by putting the property in the market and blackmailing that they have received better offer.

Never trust Ashton's from WGC. Went on holiday after agreeing a sale price with them, whilst on holiday they invited someone else round to view it, even though I paid out on survey etc etc and sold it to them. They then had the cheek to call me the next day to see if they could sell my house!!!... Read Full Review

Never trust Ashton's from WGC. Went on holiday after agreeing a sale price with them, whilst on holiday they invited someone else round to view it, even though I paid out on survey etc etc and sold it to them. They then had the cheek to call me the next day to see if they could sell my house!!! Graham was the contact there, so AVOID him. Poor company very sneaky, never ever will I deal with them again. Also not the first person to say this.

They offered a bespoke service of photos and a plan, but they merely copied a house plan from another similar house that they then included as part of my sales details. When I queried the fact that the plan was incorrect and advised them that I felt that they had copied it from another agent, they immediately offered to come around to take dimensions and create a bespoke plan. I agreed a lower fee and sent them my own correct plan which they then amended to make it incorrect again!!?? This happened 5 times!! After the 5th occasion I cancelled the sale advising them that I would seek an alternative professional & competent agent.

They are not a nice estate agent. They didn't care about us or our circumstances. They took our deposit in the first place, before we moved in, by bank transfer. They then refused to give it back to us by bank transfer only by cheque, even though it meant us possibly losing our next rented... Read Full Review

They are not a nice estate agent. They didn't care about us or our circumstances. They took our deposit in the first place, before we moved in, by bank transfer. I would never use them again to buy a property through them.
