Not a great agent at all. I have been dealing with a leak from one of the properties they rent out and they are incapable of fixing this problem.
Also from the same property, their tenants are repeatedly leaving their rubbish everywhere in the front of the building. Promises of 'going through insurance' have vanished into thin air. The landlord that uses this agent is negligent and causing alot of nusiance. This agent is very incapable of handling 'real issues'. Highly disappointed. DO NOT USE THEM!

Alan de Maid in Bromley were absolutely fantastic throughout the sale of my flat. They achieved lots of viewings for us as well as an asking price offer and sale. Their communication and support throughout the process was second to none. They provided support, clarity and good humour throughout the selling process and were always on hand to help navigate any tricky issues or unexpected bumps in the road. After some disappointing experiences with other local agencies Alan de Maid really was a breath of fresh air and provided us with fantastic service (Teresa and Kerry especially). I purchased my first home through Alan de Maid, I just had a house purchase fall apart and found the whole experience stressful and really upsetting. Thankfully I found another flat through Alan de Maid and my experience the second time round was very different, Teresa, Sarah and her team were so helpful, I felt that I was dealing with a team of people who cared, I had a tight deadline but they made it happen in just 5 weeks. Be weary of a poor service. Agent was difficult to deal with throughout Buying process. They adopted a blame approach towards us as buyers for delays in legal process. They did not respond to us or action reasonable requests and changed an agreed 4 week period between exchange and completion to 5 weeks without consulting us.This was particularly annoying as it was approaching Christmas and the home needed work to be liveable. Branch we dealt with closed mid way through the process - we were not informed for several weeks.. When it came to collecting keys they were poorly organised, had not checked what vendor had provided or where keys were causing me access difficulties. They did not ask for ID when handing over keys. Promised to contact vendors to sort out keys but did not have common courtesy to do so and would not accept my calls thereafter. I would not recommend this trusting this estate agent to provide an acceptable service.

Totally incompetent. I had a property to let out in Bromley, I decided to use ADM's ‘full management service' (management used in the loosest of terms) which turned out to be a huge regret. I had no end of problems with bad tenants (obviously references were not checked), very poor management of repairs, appalling communication etc…
The staff turnover at ADM was incredible, I must have had at least six different property managers in a two year period, out of that only one person was decent, the rest – utterly uselless.
As an example, they let one set of tenants leave who had not paid the last month's rent, another tenant left taking half of the contents of the kitchen (it was a furnished flat) and also allowed another set of tenants to have a big dog when no pets were allowed. ADM completely missed this, I found pictures of said dog sprawled all over the white sofa which came with the furnished flat on Facebook! If I could find out they had a dog that easily all the way from living in Asia, how did they miss it if they were inspecting the property as they claimed?
There were also a few issues such as kitchen flood, it took ADM over four working days to get the issue looked at by workmen and resolved – my tenants were suitably unimpressed as you can imagine.
Separately, another set of tenants had a list of small repairs that they wanted looking at, they gave this list to ADM several times but ADM did nothing, I knew nothing about this until I received a letter from Bromley Council informing me and telling in pretty stern words that the repairs must be resolved in ‘x' amount of time or I would be in court and face fines!!! I lived half way around the world at this time, I paid ADM to manage this kind of thing for me, in fact, they should have had the flat in good working order and not even let a list build up.
The worst was to come when eventually decided to sell the property, stupidly I thought I'd use ADM (massive error) as it might be easier to use the same agent.
They arranged several open days and we had dozens of people through – no offers – which I thought was strange as it was a beautiful period property. After months of this, I decided to use another agent as well and have both working on the marketing. As soon as ADM found out about this they got extremely hostile, they told me is an extremely rude manner that I could use ADM only or nothing, in other words they weren't willing to share the marketing with another agent. When the other agent went to ADMs office to collect a spare set of keys, the ADM agent told them you will never sell that place, it's got serious structural issues' which was completely untrue!
That was the final straw - I told ADM their services were no longer required and I decided to use a fantastic agent (Orange Square) instead after being recommended by a friend. When the agent went into the property for an initial look around , he told me that the place had clearly not been looked after by past tenants at all, the whole place needed redecorating, things had been damaged and pulled off the walls etc… How could ADM not tell me this and allow tenants to check out leaving the place in a state and THEN try and sell it looking like that?! It absolutely beggars belief
