Utterly useless, it's taken 3 months to get a shower working (and at the time of writing it STILL ISN'T WORKING) among a litany of other issues. Anything more than getting a refund on our rent I would deem as being too much money going to them.

Utterly useless, it's taken 3 months to get a shower working (and at the time of writing it STILL ISN'T WORKING) among a litany of other issues.
NJH also seem to have a deal with Spark electricity whereby they put all student lets on their tariff and get a kickback from that. Spark are a disgraceful company who charge students well over 50% above market rate and are incredibly difficult to deal with. NJH should be ashamed of themselves for profiting off the back of students in such a deceitful way.

My son has just moved into Adcocks Close, a property owned and managed by Nicholas Humphreys. My son has just moved into Adcocks Close, a property owned and managed by Nicholas Humphreys. The service by Naomi has been absolutely fantastic, the house was clean and tidy for us to move in, they read the meters, helped out with issues when changing supplier etc. Nothing is too much trouble for Naomi, I have found her to be very professional and helpful through the whole process. We would be keen to stay with her for all the time my son is at this university.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Given me the right information when I asked and done something about the damp and also not waited nearly a month to say that they are giving my deposit back and I\'ve still not had it!

I rented my first property with Nicholas Humphreys and left nearly a month ago now.
At first they were nice seeing as I suppose all they wanted was to have my money.
When it came to all the damp in the flat they did nothing.
And when it came to moving all I've had is hassle considering it was my first flat and I didn't really know much about what to do. At first I was told that I had to discuss getting my deposit back with the landlady and then my partner rang to ask about it and they said they would sort it and it would be in my bank the same day. Which it wasn't and 4 days later I am still waiting for it! Everyday my partner has rang and they have said it'll be in tomorrow morning every time and it hasn't!
I will not be going with this estate agency again that's for sure! And they sounded so rude over the phone!

My daughter signed a contract with them as a student in June. It is now the end of August they promised the property would be professionally cleaned before they moved in. They arrived to move stuff in after traveling some distance and the house is not fit to move into. Dirty and shower head dripping black, mold a health risk. We are calling in Environmental Health. Avoid obvious cowboys only interested in milking students to get max money for landlords.

This is a review of the student lettings entity of Nicholas J Humphreys in Loughborough.
After almost a year of an NJH shorthold tenancy, I think it's about time I posted a review for the perusal of other prospective tenants.
My experience of the company has been disappointing at best. The company's duty of care towards some of it's tenants has been questionable - I won't be going into any detail here. My advice to future students is to think long and hard about what you sign, and do your homework (familiarise yourself with the Landlord and Tenant Act 1995). Do not sign an agreement on the basis of marketing campaigns and a free bar. You should ensure that any deposit made goes into a TDP scheme.
On the upside we have had a roof over our heads which represents better value for money than halls - hence 2 stars.
A little word of advice for anyone at NJH who happens to read this - sort it out. Without customers, there's no business.
