Review for Ateja Narbutaite. My husband and I are first time buyers. We saw a lovely property with connells and initially spoke to Ateja to start the viewing process. Throughout the process of viewing the property, going through the processes with the solicitors etc etc. We could not fault her at all. Ateja always kept us reassured, she always kept us updated when she had news and she is very kind and thoughtful. She listens to what you want and sent us properties that were very close to what we told her we wanted. Ateja is patient and professional. Can't fault her at all.

Our experience with Connells throughout our first home purchase has been nothing short of outstanding.
After the seller dropped out of our first accepted offer, Connells quickly found a new property exactly to our preferences. From the date of our offer being accepted on this property, we have just completed less than 8 weeks later!
Our agent, Fred, has been extremely attentive to all of our questions, regularly called with updates to our case and attended an additional viewing even after our offer was accepted. A real asset to our house hunt
Dan, our mortgage advisor, took so much stress out of our first purchase. Our initial meetings with him answered so many questions about the process and gave us great peace of mind when arranging our mortgage offer. A pleasure to have in our corner.
I have already been, and will continue to recommend Connells Plymouth to friends and family and will absolutely be employing their services again in the future.

Purposefully difficult and deceitful.
Contacted them initially to sell our property, and they came in £20,000 overvaluation compared to the 4 other estate agents that came around.
We later found out they do this to secure clients and eventually tell you to lower the price. They continuously contacted me about why we didn't choose them
Unfortunately that isn't the end of our dealings with them.
We attempted to view a single property with them, over the 20 minute call they tried to plug their in house mortgage service of which we didn't need because we already had a mortgage in principle. I outright refused it, they also tried to get us to view other properties, I outright refused these too.
Unbelievably 10 minutes after the call I get an e-mail confirming my appointment with a mortgage advisor and 3 viewings.
I immediately called back and told them I wasn't interested in any of it anymore as not only had they booked in the mortgage and 2 extra viewings but they wouldn't let us view the property for 2 weeks.
The reason they delay the viewings is so they can drum up fake interest in a property and scare you into paying more than it's worth.
Due to their incompetence, I requested a right to removal of my date under GDPR. They refused to completely erase my data even though I didn't view the properties I had been introduced by them. This is understandable, however not 30 minutes after the call I received a call from the Plympton branch asking me if I'm interested in properties still, obviously they had failed to update my marketing preferences and completely lied.
I am currently seeking an order of the Court for my data to be removed from this unbelievable company.
DO NOT SELL WITH CONNELLS

As remote sellers based in Provence France , we selected Connells ' old school style' , by walking around local businesses on a visit to
Plymouth , and simply asking for recommendations and information on the many Agents located there .
Connells Mannamead especially Ciaran Curley and his team , came with the most positive reviews. The property was listed exclusively with Ciaran Curley for three months .
During the selling process Ciaran dealt confidently with 'covid 19 lockdowns , a hard to reach freeholder and our living in France .
Ciaran and Connells exceeded all of our expectations with communication , recommendations and more generally baby-sitting us through the entire selling process from day one until
settlement . Their service was simply outstanding .
The bonus was that he achieved twenty thousand pounds more for our apartment than another agent in Mannamead had advised it would sell for .
We are shortly relocating to Devon and would be delighted if Connells would be involved in our future purchase .
Well done and thank you to Ciaran and his team .

An honest opinion based on facts to prevent you going through the stress of these inconsiderate idiot's. Since the sale I've heard lots of very similar situations so thought I'd spread the word.
From day one, Ross came to the house to value it and seemed very good, promised the earth as you'd expect from any estate agent. Valued the house 5-10k higher than others(purposely done to get you on board, who doesn't want an extra 5-10k) That's the positives done!
We agreed a 1% fee, Ross the manager put down a figure on the contract and not 1%. We didn't notice this until he had left. We spoke to him on the phone and he agreed to change it, "he would send us an email to confirm it" Weeks went by and we chased for the email, several emails and phone calls went to Ross yet this never got solved. We ended up paying more fees because of his intentional mistake on the contract. Our own fault for not making sure we had it sorted, however Ross clearly knew what he had done and had purposely ignored our emails.
Whilst the sale was ongoing with viewings etc we never got any feedback until we called them. Several times we called and they would always say "we were just about to call you" They even held onto offers for days and we only got these when we called them to chase feedback.
So we finally agreed a price with the buyer. Connells told us the buyer had no chain and wanted to move in within 6 weeks with no surveys etc as they needed to move in ASAP. This was January 14th 2021, fast forward to July 2021 and the sale is still dragging out because of the chain(the chain that connells told us didn't exist) We found out through our buyers estate agent that the buyers buyer lives in Thailand. This was the reason for a major hold up and very nearly lost us our new build purchase. Credit to Lawsons who didn't have to go out of their way to chase and explain things to us. Things that Connells would have known for months.
We spoke to at least 6 different members of staff, the amount of times we were told "we will call you back" and not receive a call is beyond a joke.
They also entered our property without permission when we weren't home. Only Connells and ourselves had a key. Our post had been put on the kitchen side, things in the garden were moved. When I questioned this they denied it.
Right up until the last day of completion we were still chasing them for their mistakes. They overpriced the final invoice to our solicitor by £100. It took two phone calls from us and one from our solicitor to amend this. Apparently it was a "typo" Funny how the typo didn't work in our favour!
All in all a very stressful time which could have been prevented with simply being honest with us and making a few phone calls to us.
I've never left a bad review before but this was so bad I felt it was needed.
Hopefully our mistake going with Connells Mutley Plain will save you making that mistake. Just to repeat this was CONNELLS MUTLEY PLAIN so please don't mistake this for other connells branches.

Absolute liars! Wouldn't sell through Connells again if it was free! They rang us for update once throughout the process and lost us £4,500 because of their lies!
