Great idea in principle, costs are fantastic, good initial service. But... Initial house address posted incorrectly and took multiple calls/messages/emails to fix. House took 16 months to sell, even though price dropped by us 4 times over several months. Got referred to partners GoTo for modern auction, again great idea but ended up settling for rock bottom sale price after auction fees. Wouldn't use again tbh

I understand everyone's experience will be different, but from our dealings with Strike, I would avoid like the plague.
We were buying a house through strike as that is who the sellers were using. All throughout the process communication has been very poor. Questions left unanswered. Your never given a direct line to anyone, and therefore always have to go through the national switchboard (each time having to give your life story just to be put through). This is ridiculous, especially when things are moving very fast towards completion.
Our solicitors said that the strike solicitors were very poor and not helpful one bit.
We were never told anything about the chain, or predicted timings.
But to make things worse, Strike misled us about the house and failed to disclose the lack of building regulations for the attic bedroom. It was only due to our solicitor being thorough that this came to light. Once known strike were aggressive and pushy in trying to make us complete with an indemnity policy. Having looked into the issue, we felt that we should renegotiate the price. Unfortunately the sale has fallen through because of this.
Strike can claim that they never knew about the issue, but the house is straight back on the market and being wrongly sold as a 3 bedroom again. Hopefully the new buyers solicitors will pick up on the issue also as I know strike won't mention it.
We are now down £1000s in fees due to being misled.

Very Misleading Solicitors, £1k added on top of the original quotation.
I was happy to receive a match quotation from them when I let them know my original solicitor was quoting around £1500. It seemed like a great option when they're in house and my seller was going with Strike too.
However, since then they have continued adding charges to my account. I told them clearly from the beginning about my situation, as I am aware certain aspects can cost more... For example, having a LISA and partly gifted deposit.
But despite this, they have charged me £50 for LISA, £165 for Gifted Deposit (TWICE), £215 for Deed Of Covenant Fee (even though the sellers previous buyer pulled out just before completion so must have known this already) and £145.00 for an expedition fee.... PLUS VAT on alllll of this..... They even tried to add another optional thing that cost another £100 but I opted out.
I am incredibly confused as my quotation literally says... ' Our fee is GUARANTEED not to increase: As long as you instruct us to carry out your conveyancing in the next 30 days, our fee will not increase unless your instructions change.'
'As long as you instruct the Lawyer to carry out your conveyancing in the next 30 days, their fee will not increase unless your instructions change (e.g. you wish to create a trust, the Lawyer is required to liaise with matrimonial lawyers, the property is newbuild, leasehold, shared ownership or there is a defect in the title).'
It is disgusting I am now expected to pay £2500+ when their own website says an average cost of solicitors is £1500.....
Appalling service. Avoid at all costs. Could have been great.

For the amount we paid, Strike really can't be beaten. If you're prepared to roll your sleeves up and get involved in the process then the additional support they offer is incredible. If you're prepared to roll your sleeves up and get involved in the process then the additional support they offer is incredible.
Isis Hall in particular was a legend. We had offers within 1 month but the sale itself took over 6months complete due to complications further down the chain. Isis stuck with us as a supportive voice at the end of the phone throughout. She kept our buyers reassured and made sure everything went smoothly on our side of things.

I went in with the view that you get what you pay for and I was quite happy to do all the leg work if it saved me over £3,000.
However the process with Strike has been very straightforward. My property was listed within a few days and then arranging viewings was very easy. I had two offers by the end of the first week.
I would say that at the beginning, there was a big push for me to use their recommended broker/ solicitors etc. as I suppose this is how they make their money. However once I had instructed my own broker/ solicitors this wasn't mentioned again and it wasn't a particular pushy approach (no more than I've experienced with other agents!)
You start the process with a valuer and then you are passed to someone to help agree a sale and then passed to another person on the sales progression team. This was fine for me as all agents were really clear as to their role and all called to introduce themselves at the start of each stage.
The best part of the service however was my sales progressor, Isis, she was an absolute star and responded to my emails really quickly and provided me with constant updates.
The last few weeks of the sale were really stressful but Isis was always on hand to reassure me and respond to all of my emails promptly, even if there was not much information she could pass one she would always email to let me know she was chasing. Isis was a great go between for all parties to get me the updates I needed and I could not fault her!
We exchanged contracts today and overall I have been really pleased I decided to use Strike. I wasn't expecting much for a free service but the service has been great and I have recommended Strike to others.

This is the second time I’ve used Strike and I wouldn’t use anyone else.
From start to finish they’ve been amazing.
In particular, my allocated manager Isis, was always one step ahead of the solicitors.
Ours was a particularly complicated sale and Isis was always ringing everyone in our chain, updating and advising me with her expert knowledge, when I was considering taking the wrong turn.
And bearing in mind, they’d been paid upfront and a fraction of traditional agents, it was even more impressive.
If I could award them 10 stars I would.
An absolute superb and faultless service.

We was selling our house with Strike, they where very good with communication & kept us informed at every stage. Strike moved quickly to put our property on the market with Zoopla and I thought they were quite thorough.
Checked up on us every week & gave good advice
In the end we part exchanged for a new build but would go with Strike again.
There was no catch on the free marketing, obviously they do a package you can pay for but we chose the free option as we lived on a main road.
