I have been carrying out property inspections on behalf of agents for 4 years in the southwest of England and meeting a variety of individual agents and personnel which gives me a wide judgment on the good and maybe not so good agents.
From a first hand experience as a contractor I have found the Andrews agent operating out from the Princes Buildings offices in Bath to be a dedicated and well managed group of staff who are relentless in ensuring a consistent high level of service to all of their tenants needs. I have no hesitation in recommending them to any potential new tenants looking for a trusted letting agent in the Bath area.

Andrews has simply been unprofessional. Throughout the tenancy, they have failed to support me as a tenant. Andrews has simply been unprofessional. Throughout the tenancy, they have failed to support me as a tenant. There were a number of issues (smelly drains, filthy washing machine, smelly carpets, broken towel rail, etc) raised regarding the property at the start of the tenancy but only 40% were resolved, mostly by me. When the garage door was destroyed by vandals, I was expected to fix it myself as the landlady didn't have the time to deal with it - I fixed the door at some expense to me in both time and money. I have now left the property and although the inventory survey was satisfactory I have not had my deposit back (it's been nearly 3 weeks). These are my complaints but feel free to look at the letter I was sent by the previous tenant (attached).

They did everything to push me through the initial process and lied about taking the property off the market (They even went that far to say their computer system update prevented them from taking the ad off.). Then they gazumped me and asked for a counter offer in the last minute.

On the one hand, they promised me not to arrange other viewings after my offer was accepted. On the other hand, they used my offer as leverage to pressure another buyer and started a bidding war.
So much time wasted and trust broken because these agents have no integrity. They are ready to raise the "legally we can gazump you before the completion" card as soon as there are a few pennies incentives.
I will never work with these agents and do not recommend anyone who values morality and trustworthiness to use their service. I am happy I did not fall into their trap and waste a few thousands more. I do feel sorry that someone else raised the offer because of the Andrews' game. If I had known I was used by the agent, I would not have given an offer just to cause the loss of another buyer.

Terrible terrible service , can be heard laughing in the background when on phone .
Suggested a rental figure that was too low to srart with and argued with landlord as to which figure to market at . In the end flat was rented out at over �200 more per month than Agents recommended figure !

I have sold a flat in the centre of Bath through Andrews. I have interviewed some half a dozen agents before selecting Andrews because they were different in that they were willing to listen to what I wanted and discuss the best strategy for me rather than telling me their sales and marketing formula. They did not disappoint me in that they did not change but continued to work with me until exchange and everything went very smoothly. They have several agents that were doing the showing and one person that saw through from agreeing the sales to exchange. They clearly have a good communication structure that I could call at any time and any one of them could respond to my queries at all times. They were always polite and easy to talk to, willing to listen to what I wanted and came to the best strategy and solution to proceed. In addition, I felt the branch manager, Alex Bowater was always on top of things and oversaw the entire process and that everything was excellently managed. I had somewhat negative experience with Andrews some 10 years ago but things have obviously completely changed. I would not hesitate to return to them for further business. I would highly recommend them for sales.
