Since the staff do not wear name badges it is difficult to know the name of the person with whom one is dealing.

Since the staff do not wear name badges it is difficult to know the name of the person with whom one is dealing.
This was a red letter day for my son, who was getting the keys for his own home for the first time.
We had an appointment at 0900 this morning and arrived at 0855, standing in the rain while the staff inside looked at us and debated whether or not to allow us access. The door was VERY grudgingly opened and we were asked to state our business in a very peremptory fashion.
Having done so we were reluctantly allowed entry and ordered to sit and wait, which we did.
While I accept that we were not dressed in top hat and tails, what followed was an absolute disgrace.
My son was treated in the most high-handed, disdainful manner it has ever been my displeasure to witness, and I have been in the customer service business for over 50 years. Not one please or thank was in evidence, just sign here, do this and do that from a sour face that would break if it ever produced a smirk.
When politely asked to change the rent payment date one was left in no doubt that any expectation of any vestige of service was absolutely, laughably out of the question.
Call me old fashioned, but when the amount of money in question that was paid on demand, is paid in full with no problem, the very least people dealing with one as a client should summons some vestige of good will and/or courtesy? (Under the circumstances I forbear to mention service as it is obviously an alien concept).
Is it too much to ask? Needless to say these views will be passed on to the landlord in question to act on as he sees fit and I will certainly never, ever subject myself, my family and anyone I know to that treatment ever again.
