I had a most horrendous experience withMichael Charles Lettings.
They DID NOT disclose the scope of renovation that was due in big block of flats at 3+7 Rochester mews corner of 16 Rochester place (NW1 9JB) and did not inform nor or fix the many problems that were in the flat (Intercome, blinds, windows, balcony lights, building works, noise + dust etc). Overall a misleading and dishonest conduct which forced me to make endless complaints to the PRS, to Camden noise pollution and also to the police. I barely had a single day without a problem,.
A most shocking and terrifying experience for both my little child who was six years old and myself.
I had to make several complaints to the PRS https://www.theprs.co.uk/ and for that I was given a total compensation of just £400. I agreed to such a slow compensation as I did not have the time, energy or money to got to Court.
I therefore am willing to share my most horrific experience in details, to help, advise and support anyone who face a similar experience with Michael Charles Lettings NW1. 7AN.

Rented from them for 2 years as a student. The property had multiple issues which they promised they would fix. Ongoing leak from shower above, flooding in the basement after heavy rain. Faulty shower. Broken front door. Would keep promising to fix things for good which they never did.
Worst of all they charged us for 'cleaning' from deposit despite giving the property back to them in a cleaner condition. Avoid like the plague.

Generally we were very disappointed with the kind of service that we received from Michael Charles Lettings. First up, the apartment was in terrible shape when we moved in (toilet flush broken, wardrobe hanger broken, washer spoilt and full of dirty water just to name a few) and we later found out from a neighbour that the previous tenants had apparently already informed Michael Charles of all these problems but they simply didn't do anything. Throughout our tenancy, it was always difficult to solicit any form of response from Michael Charles whenever we contacted them on problems related to the apartment - they would only respond after we had sent out a couple of angry chaser emails.

I found Michael Charles Lettings very helpful when finding my current property. They were simply honest and paid very good attention to detail, as everything they mentioned they were doing was done without any issues. I would easily recommend this company to anybody looking to rent in Camden as they obviously have a lot of experience in the area and a friendly staff who made the whole experience as easy as possible.

We all know letting agents are a pretty awful breed, but never in my life did I expect to encounter such lying, unprofessional money-hungry jerks.
We rented a property from the agents in 2012 and they as the letting agents they are responsible for anything that goes wrong with the flat.
Since we moved in, we've had countless problems including radiators that won't turn off, showers that remain clogged, toilets that don't flush, a broken washing machine, a broken bed and countless other pieces of broken furniture. The problem isn't with these issues themselves, its with the fact that the letting agents actually ignore your e-mails for weeks on end. We even went into their office to speak to them face to face and the agent who had originally let us the flat walked right by us as if he had never seen us before.
The flat out lie about what they are trying to get fixed leaving us without word for 38 days until we finally threatened them with legal action. On top of all of this one of the agents opened our apartment door unannounced a few weeks back. He came in and yelled at one of my flatmates treating her with complete disrespect. We highly recommend that tenants stay as far away as possible from Michael Charles Letting.
