Lack of professionalism and discrepancy in the management process. No support received at time to change room while other tenants have been able to do so once a person moves out. No justification or any rationale provided after 2 refusals for renting when I seem to tick all the boxes which til today sounds arbitrary. No mediation support provided at time needed in regards to hygiene and cleaness issues in the flat, esp. when those issues escalated over time and become safety & security issues. Pending issues never been responded or resolved til end of contract.

The worst agency imaginable. Advertised a ‘bedroom’ for renting which turned out to actually be the flats living room (was advised for the previous tenant they would move him out when flat was inspected and put his belongings in storage - obviously illegal).
Multiple tenants consistently complained about broken lights, lack of hoover, broken Wi-Fi, broken shower gauge to no avail.
When you do finally manage to get through to someone on the phone they are always ‘looking into it’.

Their biggest strength is how they solve all the problems and provide an excellent service for the tenants. My main contact was Stahle and Abdul and I am very happy and can recommend everyone to rent flats with them.

Would give 0 starts if I could absolutely disgusting the way the administrator Abdul Hannan has just spoken and hung up the phone on me. Asking 'Are you deaf' when i asked him to repeat his name. Trying to speak over me with his awful attitude!

Lack of professionalism and discrepancy in the management process. No support received at time to change room while other tenants have been able to do so once a person moves out. Just finished my contract not long ago. Having staying with them for almost 2 years, I have renewed my contract twice without doubt. A few good points: a. staffs are very responsive on email, phone or visit of their office. They are very helpful as well. Whenever a light bulb is broken, wrote them an email and it's fixed before next lunch or, latest, by evening. I also had a roommate wanna borrow a weighing scale to use, one of H&B's staff actually drove home and lent that one to him, again drove back in 2hrs time and collect it (all done in off work time!). b. they are also flexible and pay attention to your request. I was not sure when to move out but they gave me the flexibility to put the flat on their website and see if someone wants to rent to before my contract ends. c. from my own experience, they've been doing genuine business. They charge what it says on the contract, explain and highlight them few times. And most importantly, they fulfill their own responsibility. d. as tenants, we've tried us best to take care of the flat and they do appreciate it by respecting us. e. we also had a weekly cleaning for communal place in the flat which is included in the rent. Overall, good service and very glad to have spent the past 2 years with them. Thank you

I was paying �675 a month for one room in a poorly maintained (glass in the front door replaced with MDF, everything needed a second coat of paint, kitchen window covered up with tape, no bathroom blind, very tatty shower curtain) flat with no living room and a kitchen that was so small the door wouldn't shut once the fridge was in, something that is sadly normal in London, but would be insane in the rest of the country, for the same amount I could rent a 3 bedroom detached house with a garden - although I realise this isn't Hunter & Bloomfield's fault, more that of the landlord and the entire private rented sector in London.
Part of the reason I chose the property I did was the reassurance that they had a maintenance team that would come out quickly and fix anything that needed fixing. When I moved in there were nails sticking out of a couple of my draws (not sure why, they weren't holding it together), they came the next working day to repair it, the same when the lock broke on the toilet door.
To begin with, I had quite a positive view of the letting agency, then more things started to break. The kitchen socket broke, exposing wires, when I reported it all they did was wrap tape around it and had no intention of properly fixing it until I complained again and threatened to go to the housing ombudsman - it took a total of weeks to properly fix it. The boiler was then due for a service, it took weeks of persistent emails and promises of a gas safety registered engineer turning up for the service to actually take place. We had no way of knowing if there was a problem with it, there was no carbon monoxide alarm so we had no way of knowing if our safety was at risk.Those weren't they only safety issues there were, I had the chest of draws in my room almost fall over, tipping everything on it onto me because they should have been fixed to the wall but hadn't been.
There were then other problems that weren't putting our safety at risk, but making life very very difficult. The shower just didn't work properly, the taps on it desperately needed replacing, a member of the maintenance team just suggested a very basic quick-fix (which would probably realistically last a couple of days) and the landlord came round a couple of weeks later and said there wasn't any problem with it and refused to do anything about it, there were days where the shower was so unusable we had to get showers at work/University. The landlord also refused to change my curtains - when attending the property to change radiator valve in my room I asked if it would be possible to have my curtains changed as they were very thin and pale so let in all the light keeping me awake from the light from streetlights and waking me up early in the morning. As a temporary fix I stuck tinfoil to my window to block out light, but this was only supposed to be temporary because it was difficult to put it up and take it down so it was just left up all the time meaning I never got any natural light - the landlord thought this was absolutely fine and I didn't need better curtains because tinfoil was doing the job. A landlord being tight is not the letting agency's fault, but they did choose to take a business of a borderline slum landlord.
When I left the flat early due to work commitments I was told that they would take rent from my deposit for the amount of time I wasn't there and they hadn't found a new tenant, which is fair enough, but they tried to take a 6 day void room charge from my deposit despite my rent actually being due the day after a new tenancy began - thankfully I got that back when I disputed it. They also to took a �90 professional cleaning fee from my deposit….I'd rented one small-ish room that needed a bit of a vacuum and a dust, taking half an hour at a maximum, I have no idea how a �90 figure came about.
If you're reading this and thinking about renting a property through Hunter & Bloomfield, please don't for the sake of your own well-being and sanity.

Firstly, despite the exorbitant fees, they will treat you in such an unprofessional manner it is a wonder how they are still in business. They take a lifetime to respond to domestic/household issues that they can only fix (e.g. internet or plumbing) and even treat you with contempt when you even pick up the phone to ask whats going on.
To put a cherry on top of the terrible sundae that is Hunters & Bloomfield, BE WARNED, they will cheat you out of your deposit when it comes to the end of your tenancy. 0/5 stars.

HORRIBLE ! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!I ve never dealt with such unprofessional persons, even keeping my cool and speaking respectfully, they yelled at me on the phone... Since we really liked the house we tried anyway, they made us sign papers without explaining us anything of whole process of fees and rent in advance we would have to pay, we ended up paying 6 months rent in advance without wanting it, in the contract was said to repair some things in the house that never got repaired, and when asked to be informed about viewings and the house they answer with so much direspect, like if we're not landlords we re not worth their times, please don't give these people your money as they certainly don t deserve it!!!!!!!

Came to sign a holding deposit letter which should be a standard process. When we got there, one member of staff was on the phone to a friend saying how much he didn't want to be in work; this was a sign of things to come..
The deposit agreement detailed that the landlord may not accept our "offer" even though we accepted to pay at the asking rate. This involves paying £500 before and after the "offer" to the landlord and is filled with all sorts of clauses and fees for 'clearing of the funds' and how much you need to subsequently pay before even seeing the terms you are putting thousands of pounds down for. I have never seen an agent request this in all my years renting and made me feel I would never see it again if I put it down so I refused.
After seeing all the reviews here I am glad I did.

The door was difficult to open and lock many times, sometimes easy to open it without turning the key around. I informed the company many times about the lock not working properly and staff ensured me that the problem will be fixed. Until today, 10th April 2016, nothing has happened and after yesterday´s inspection (9th April 2016), the lock doesn´t work at all and I am not able to lock my door when I am leaving out of the flat.

I informed the company many times about the lock not working properly and staff ensured me that the problem will be fixed. Until today, 10th April 2016, nothing has happened and after yesterday´s inspection (9th April 2016), the lock doesn´t work at all and I am not able to lock my door when I am leaving out of the flat.
In almost 3 months of my stay here, it was not possible, for some reason, to fix the problem and I didn´t really expect the inspection to break my lock completely. I wasn´t even informed about the issue, my flatmate just gave me a message a while ago.
I can´t express how unsatisfied with the company I am. The staff doesn´t even answer the e-mails but have time to send text messages during the night and invite me to go out. This is very unprofessional behaviour and the company is hiring very irresponsible, untrustworthy and carefree people.This is my overall dissatisfaction with the company Hunter&Bloomfield and I would never recommend any services the company is providing.

I had a very good experience with Hunter & Bloomfield. They had managed to find me a large room very close to where I wanted it and it was pretty cheap. They also provide a handyman service so when my shower broke down they fixed it in the same day. They are quick to respond to all my emails ... Read Full Review

As a current tenant, I would say the letting process goes smoothly, with the standard contract and agent fees. As a current tenant, I would say the letting process goes smoothly, with the standard contract and agent fees.
The plumbing problems were acted on quickly when occurred; they have an out-of-hours number for emergencies, and generally try to help with any maintenance issues, successfully liaised with the landlord to provide new sofa, hoover, etc. They enforce strictly no smoking policy, which I have been very happy about.
I recommend.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
