I literally can’t thank Shane enough he went above and beyond for us to get the house of our dreams nothing was too much trouble for him and he was always at the end of the phone to help us when ever we needed him ! Shane took so much stress off our shoulders and literally did all the work for us in what was quite a stressful time in our lives ! Shane we can not thank you enough for everything , you are fantastic at your job and we will be recommending you to everyone ! Thank you so much ! Also a shout out to Harry who took us to our new house for a viewing , very keen polite well mannered lad who was eager to help us in anyway he could and was very kind to congratulate us in getting the house (when he didn’t have to ) little things like that go a long way .

We purchased the property through Connells and they were on the ball. On the subsequent sale they were poor. I had to call them 5 times for them to arrange a price for furniture as they failed to do anything. They seemed to have no urgency pushing the sale through and failed in the basics of communication between the buyer and us. We nearly pulled out as weren't getting feedback on what was causing delays and they seemed to have no idea (or just lacked experience) on how to sort out any hurdles. Eventually a grown-up from another office sorted it all out. On the positives they did sell it and got a good price.

Tracy arrived a couple of minutes early, she was very upbeat and knowledgeable about the cottage, not to mention very patient with us. In fact everybody at Connells Exeter has been a pleasure to deal with and Tracy was the icing on the cake.

If you want an estate agent who does exactly as they say they will do, then choose Connells.
Amelia was efficient, thorough and completed everything in a timely manner; when something didn’t go exactly as I expected, she was ‘on it’ and exacted the resolution I needed. She is also a lovely person to deal with, friendly, thoughtful and kind.
I wouldn’t hesitates to encourage anyone to sell with Connells.

My partner and I are first-time buyers and have had honestly the most surprisingly smooth journey to buying our first house! Despite all the online advice telling you to not go with all the in-house services, we seriously could not rave about how great these have been! Shane started with our mortgage advisor chat and has been incredible catering for our more unique situation. He nailed a fantastic mortgage and we got accepted with no hassle! We have used the recommended solicitors who have never failed to reply within the hour of sending enquiries and have worked so hard to get it all sorted for us within just over a month of us having an offer accepted. Then to top it off, the team of people at the Exeter branch consistently have gone above and beyond our expectations, such as staying late so that we could get all the details of our property we wanted! Couldn't recommend their services enough. There are too many people to highlight in particular but we would like to mention Harry for his help in finding our home, Shane for the mortgage advice and honesty, Amelia for her organisation and Tracy for her brilliant engaging viewings.

I have known Connells for a long time since I moved to Exeter 21 years ago. My impression of Connells was positive because of the polite staff and the professional service I experienced. This time, Connells has acted as an agent for helping selling our property. To be honest, I did not have much hope at the beginning after had been waiting for 2 months to sell my property with the other agent. Surprisingly, my property was sold within 3 weeks with the help of Connells. The 3 stages of selling my property really worth a fair review, I think. In the first stage, i.e., the pre-selling stage the introduction by Sam Milverton was the best among all and I was very impressed. He did not give me much unrealistic promises which are useless and sometimes harmful in terms of my view of point. However, he gave me very solid and detailed explanation of how the selling process will be with Connells. The samples used in the meeting are very explainable and convincing. His explanation made me as a non-professional person easy to understand. In the second stage, several staff of Connells including Sam, Harry and others were fully engaged in efficiently organizing viewers, most importantly giving me feedback very quickly. One small detail can reflect the good training of Connells. The viewing introducer always remember switching the lights every time and keep my house clean as well as well-locked. In the third stage, i.e., the post-selling stage, Sam has been very very very in absolutely patience to help me to deal with the disaster occurred due to the IT system outrage of PPL. He kept me fully communicated all the times so that I can know where the process is with my property selling. This is certainly not an easy job. Well done, Sam!

They also use very questionable tactics trying to force you to go with an extortionate in-house mortgage provider. The line is that "you don't have to, but it will make your offer look better."
Avoid at all costs... if you can.
