I would recommend Mark Azzopardi and the Hotblack Desiato team without hesitation. He is reliable, always responsive and went above and beyond to drive the sale through and insulated us - to the best of his ability - from the legal speed bumps and negotiations. Selling a property is never enjoyable, but with Mark working in the background we felt supported throughout. We were recommended Hotblack Desiato as being specialists in the Camden area - people who could give us a sensible valuation and who understood the area in depth. Following an initial valuation visit we were teamed up with Mark who started the process for us and helped us through each step. Two factors made this a more complex sale than normal: 1. the national lockdown and 2. the fact that we were conducting the sale from abroad. We anticipated a painful and protracted experience. From the outset Mark was calm and reassuring, steering through the various administrative points and then bringing in a stream of viewings. At a difficult time in the market, we settled on decent sale price and have recently completed.

We instructed Hotblack Desiato as we were impressed with Mark Azzopardi. He was very knowledgeable and experienced compared to the others we met. He didn't disappoint once he was instructed!! He moved quickly and efficiently to market the property and conduct the negotiations, and we agreed a price we were very pleased with. Throughout this period Mark kept us fully informed. Unfortunately due to family circumstances, we had to withdraw from the sale. Rest assured, however, should this change, we will revert back to Mark so he can work his magic again!!

Scenario //
- Needless to say the experience of looking for flat in London is pretty awful to be polite.
- High pressure, crappy flats being pushed at premium prices with landlords that cancel deals to squeeze extra value from their properties even if it means breaking handshake deal.
Why Ripon //
- Ripon saved the deal, negotiated on my behalf, and went above and beyond the extra mile. It sounds trite but it couldn't be more true.
- Ripon championed for me as a tenant when there were potentially greater deals and I really appreciate it because I had put in offers for the property for over a month and the agent I was dealign with before was all commision.
- Ripon has integrity that is tangible, from the way he speaks and the way he does not down to dogma because he thinks something is mutually beneficial for both parties.
- If you're not from London or even the country I could not recommend Ripon enough. If he were on his own I'd follow whatever banner he was operating under he's that good.
- He's a real person and not a robot. He's intelligent and the type of guy you could have a beer with and discuss philosophy.
TL;DR // Choose Ripon, don't accept anyone else. You'll be glad you did and save yourself a lot of stress / uncertainty.

I called Brian about another property explaining what we were looking for. He not only showed us the property I had called about but he said he had a property he thought would interest me. Even though it was no longer being actively marketed Brian knew the vendors were still interested in selling it and he knew that it would be something that my husband and I would be interested in as it had its own private garden terrace. Brian went beyond the obvious and found my new home. He also kept in touch throughout the purchase process making sure that all parties were communicating. I love my new home.

Ripon has been extremely helpful throughout the whole process of finding a flat in Camden to finally settling in. After having heard horror stories about other agencies in London, I was hesitant to use one I had never heard of, but the service really exceeded all my expectations.
