We made an application to rent a house and after 2 weeks of trying to get through to them they told me that someone else had made an application that day which had been accepted, we were angry to say the least. However, they did provide details of another property but again we could never get through to them. We were eventually contacted to say that our application was approved and we had passed credit checks etc and we were all ready for signing of contracts only for us to be called 3 hours later to be told that they our application had been rejected. The whole process took over 5 weeks from start to finish! Complete and utterly waste of our time, they were unprofessional and the way the staff spoke to us was disgusting. To add insult to injury they refuse to refund our holding deposit and they keep changing the reason as to why they are keeping this.

Scam artists! Avoid at all costs if you want to avoid being ripped off and treated like crap!!

Dixons are one of the worst estate agents going. Nobody ever seems to know what they’re doing and pass you from person to person. Everyone is miserable and unfriendly. Extremely difficult to reach all of the time.
Had a survey booked in... they didn’t even bother to show up. Contacted them, they had no real reason, said they’d call back, never did.
Was also interested in purchasing a property which was a disaster. Couldn’t get hold of anyone. Nobody got back. Went in, again nobody had a clue what they were doing, passed from one clueless employee to the other... all of which were miserable and clearly didn’t want to be there.
Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional, poor communications and frankly a shambles.

The staff didn't seem proactive in getting our house sold. Found out later that someone had actually made an offer on our house but the agent had thought it too low so took it no further, didn't bother to ask us what our thoughts were. After nine months of being messed around took the house off the market with them. Went to Purplebricks. Seemed a lot more proactive and interested in selling our house. House was sold within three months. If it were possible to rate Dixons as 0 I would.
