Encouraged into raising the asking price and all for nothing. Bathtub broken for over 5 months, carpet falling apart. Shower not working for months at a time. Microwave breaking twice. Light circuit broken and strobing for months. Construction for months outside the window. FOUR AGENTS HELPING US DISAPPEARING ON EMAIL. And no concern for our well-being or help on compensation. Along with apparently no concern or haste for problems from landlord. The amount of times we have called and emailed about certain problems has been outrageous for a professional company.
It would help if our liaisons had literally just picked up the phone, forces the landlord to fix the problems, be honest with themselves that we deserve compensation, and if they didn't keep quitting or going MIA every couple of months.

Bob Marsh and Parsons manage my one bedroom flat in West London. Not only did they fail to ensure that the tenant they found was able to pay, they then failed to act when I pointed out early on in to the agreement that the tenant was going to default and allowed the tenant to leave 6 months later without paying a penny leaving the property in a dreadful state which has cost me £thousands to sort out. To add insult to injury they refuse to provide any contact details so I can apply for a CCJ to try and recover any of the amount owed. They have also refused to pay any of the deposit they held to me despite the TDS saying there was no case for them to withhold the monies. They are completely incompetent. Beware of the contract you sign with them as it provides no protection for the landlord.

The agency favored the landlord (with whom they have continuous commercial relationships) throughout the end of tenancy process leading to us paying unjustified out of accordance costs such as check out report and administrative fees that should not have been covered by us. In collusion with the landlord, they accepted to modify the check out report produced by an independent inspector (Green Kite) in the absence of the parties to our detriment in view of allowing the landlord to proceed with unfair deductions to our deposit. The agency never interceded with the landlord and every margin call were all made to the landlord's benefit. Sam Canning Birtles who was an excellent employee of the agency and found the property for us left for a competitor a few months ago. We truly recommend, to the extent possible, to avoid this agency for any lettings if your are prospective tenants. We are contemplating to sue the agency as soon as the deposit adjudication process will be completed by TDS.

Despicable criminals and sadists that seem to have been coached by the MOB. They screw you over at EVERY opportunity, completely disappear whenever there is an issue even when (and particularly when) they are obviously at fault. Lots of bedbugs, water problems and common areas that haven’t been cleaned since the 1980s. They also hang up on you or lie and say everyone is in a meeting whenever you contact them. Should all be in prison.

My partner and I (21 and 25) were looking for our first flat together, we were so excited but unfortunately taken advantage of.
At first the agent from the Shepherds Bush branch (Lets call them H), was great and very helpful. Kept coming back with new flats and the viewings were good, I mentioned a few times our budget per month was X which he seem to have taken in. I was wrong. We finally found this place we loved and put an offer in based on a the price we were quoted but the agent hadn't yet told us the monthly price even after us saying what our budget was. Yes it was a small oversight on our part too, but you would think after saying we can't afford anything more than X per month, their conscience would tell them to tell us the truth. So surprise surprise when the monthly payment was disclosed, AFTER we paid the holding deposit, to be £180 more a month our budget X. My partner was very upset and spoke to H about this, but H was like oh well its only £180 more a month and you should definitely pass the credit check so its ok.... No that's not the point. You misled us. I rang too and H did the exact same thing to me, played it off like nothing and I said we can't afford that rent and again he said ohh you'll pass the check don't worry. End of Call. From this point onwards, H only cared about getting the sale, and you could tell that in his voice. He wanted everything does as quickly as possible and didn't care how we felt about it. We wanted to stop but couldn't because we would lose our holding deposit. We were also given false information regarding what happens if we fail, H told we get the holding deposit back, but we didn't. We had to fight to get a portion of it back.
This agency is run by people who just want the sale, don't care about the tenants and from what I am reading here don't care about landlords either. I am very disappointed and will actively make sure everyone I know does not work with them.
Awful, misleading and pathetic excuse of an agency.

They are quick to offer you some admin fee back to you whereas the damage they caused should have cost waaaaaay more only so they can say you've already accepted compensation! WATCH OUT. These are scam artists.

It is hard to believe this agency can legally operate in this country. Everything switched from regular to HELL the day the tenancy started. A series of lies, deflections and obstructions following the fact that the shower did not work for a whole month whereas fixing it had been a pre-condition for the contract to start! These people are so HORRIFIC (no exceptions either, it's as if they've all been trained by the same evil mastermind) they simply "terminate the call" when they cannot answer in a way that doesn't indict them. They fix nothing. EVER. It's been 18 months, I am on my SECOND TPO complaint. Also TPO seems to always side with big business no matter how strong your case is. So when agencies like Marsh & Parsons act evil they know there is no real system of checks and balances so they are free to always just offer excuses, lie and SCAM tenants. I've had BED BUGS and MICE and the common areas are NEVER cleaned, ever. It's a pigsty and they always claim it's beyond their responsibility. You can talk to the secretary, the manager or the CEO (I have). They're ALL jus lacking in human decency and empathy. They seem to get high off of tenant misery, it's very bizarre. STAY AWAY.

I called for information about a property, the lettings agent, before verifying if the property I was calling for was available they wanted to know:
Where I lived Why I wanted to move The name of the company I worked for My job title
At a certain point I had to stop the line of questioning to ask if the property was even available! I wanted to arrange a viewing but was thwarted at every move by extremely intrusive lines of questioning. It turned out that the property was under offer, so I completely wasted my time on the phone.

Shower broken, filthy carpet, all furniture broken. It was almost like a joke. They jerked me around for MONTHS to fix everything, while whilst hanging up on me almost every time I called to complain, kicking me out of their office and mocking my situation to my face. Luckily we've been fortunate enough to have wonderful landlords that we can get in touch with about house maintenance, but in terms of contracts, M&P are absolutely a waste of time.

I've been renting for many years in different countries across Europe, by far this was the worse experience that I've got with a letting agent/landlord. I found the letting agency staff abusive in their response and not helpful at all. I had problems with the house from day 1: heating not working during the coldest winter, house not professionally cleaned, junk from the landlord everywhere (including bedding, towels, books, magazines, teas!!) all listed in an inventory which I was not allowed to review before I moved into the house. The last day of my tenancy, the house was rented to a new tenant when I was already in the house!! Never renting caused me so much stressed, I still get mad only thinking about it. If you can avoid it, please try other letting agency and good luck!

We have rented a flat with this agency for 18 months and has been a nightmare! They were suposed to manage the property and we have had 3 different property managers, all os them very incompetent. They never replied when we had a problem at home ( for example, we had our patio flooded for 1 week before they decided to do something about it) and we have been complaining about the big damp problem of the property since we moved in. They have been sending different builders to check it, ask for a quote...etc during all out tenancy without fixing anything. In the end, we have move out and now they are looking for different excuses to keep our deposit. I have been trying to contact them and understand what is the problem and still don't have any response. We have complain in their Facebook Page, and they just removed the comment and said they were not managing our property...I wish I could let the landlord know about it!! Tis agency is not professional at all, they don't care about the landlords or tenants, don't know how to provide a proper customer service and the only thing they know how to do is remove negative comments and ignore the customers that have a problem. Please please, NEVER rent with them. Your life will be better If you stay away from them.
