We understand that selling or renting your house is one of the most important transactions you will ever make, so getting it right is of paramount importance. From correct and realistic pricing, to appropriate marketing and advertising exposure, ou
r experience shows that one size does not fit all. We offer various bespoke packages for sellers and landlords and advise on what is going to be best for you, and what will help you achieve not only the best price, but the best price, in the best time, from the best buyer or tenant. Our impressive network of offices has access to all properties being marketed meaning every single broker in every one of our offices is working to sell or let your home . We work to sell or let at the highest possible figure for all our clients. Our valuers have a detailed knowledge of the local market, particularly of local demand, with valuations based on fact, not a sales hyperbole or what the client 'wants to hear'. We're more than just an estate agent- our team offers a range of complementary services, including a full refurbishment service, and property management designed to maximise our clients' returns from their property investments.

My experience with Nicholas Humphreys at this branch was just shocking overall. Firstly, it took a lot of pestering to get them to come and take inventory of the flat, which is their job anyway. Maintenance also took a lot of pestering (to fix very simple things). Even before moving in, I requested certain information and one employee gave me incorrect information, which another corrected only when it was too late. Then two times during the year the fire alarm in the building went off and the emergency contacts on their call line failed to materialize as those companies no longer worked with Nicholas Humphreys and they had failed to update the emergency details after a year. This resulted in the fire alarms going off all night, both close to exam season. And when my flatmate and I complained they were very quick to shift blame to the building owners rather than just being courteous and offering help and apologies as would be expected with any decent customer service. They also claimed they would have the building owner investigate the issue which never materialised. In dealing with the deposit return also, they dealt with me in a very very rude way. All the while, the majority of these correspondences (but one) were between myself and Charlotte Laxton. She was consistently rude throughout the year, offering the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. I don't know if she believed that, because we were students, it was okay to treat us like second class customers, but her behaviour was horrific and it was only ever when I threatened to take further action (i.e. complaining about her) that she ever responded 'well' and even then it was simply defensive. She is horrendous with customers (if you look at this branch's google reviews, I'm not the only one to complain about her) and should not be working in such a position, essentially taking advantage of students.

Comments on Agent Fees

The worst part is that the accommodation was expensive. At least this behaviour could be somewhat *expected* if it was very cheap (you pay for what you get), but in my four years of being a student, this was the most expensive accommodation I had.
