JR helped with our sale and purchase. The team worked tirelessly to help us. Beth and Deborah both went the extra mile (especially when problems arose) and gave us good advice throughout the process. I honestly don't think we would be in our lovely new home without their help and support. A very positive experience overall.
Comments on Agent Fees
When things don’t go smoothly is when agents earn their fee. In our case we felt they were more than appropriate for the work they put in.

After paying for the top service as sold by Jones Robinson to myself; the communication received was quite frankly disgusting, the amateur mistakes made by JonesRobinson not much better, especially regarding the "top" service I was sold you would expect to receive much better.
In trying to make a complaint I was made to feel that it was my fault to the point of not being able to discuss my problems without being constantly interrupted and talked over. To date JonesRobinson have caused several financial issues now, along with one family feud due to managing to lock 3x sets of keys in the house and contacting alternative family members that they had no authorization to do so, again at further cost to myself.
The latest round of poor service involves poor communication with reference to receiving a late payment, subsequently this has since cost myself further financial problems. My advice is to steer clear of Jones Robinson! In my opinion they are very below par, with extremely rude staff. I will be moving my custom elsewhere as soon as possible and at any cost that I may incur.
Let me start by explaining out my issue regarding the service I have received with regards to poor communication;
I was notified that the tenants would like to pay late, I was questioned as to whether this would be acceptable.
My response being that so long as the money was within my account before the next month began it would be ok.
This email was never responded to, so I believed the money would be going in before this date.
It was only responded to when I emailed on the last day of the month after I had checked my account.
A simple email would have saved me an awful lot of time and effort with having to move money around, ringing my mortgage lender and obtaining what now is a black mark against my credit rating as I could have reacted in a different manner.
This is just one one the amateur mistakes JonesRobinson made. 100% do not entertain trying to working with JonesRobinson.

Communication, progress was and has been absolutely awful. Why recommend such a poor outfit? (Trust pilot reviews back this up) Extremely disappointed!!!! JR are well aware of the problems we have encountered yet we have had absolutely no contact from them. This sale should be straight forward with no onward chains but it is still ongoing. The follow up is so poor we're weighing up pulling the plug and selling this property through another agent. This week's progress will dictate that.

Really disappointed!
They promise to contact me about the letting but no one call back, it has been over 2 weeks and I still don't know if I am able to move in on time.
I'm so tired to call them again and again, they don't usually pick up calls. Oh, That busy?
At least please give me a response of a “YES” or “NO”. I tried to call to their office few times in a day, no one pick up.
So lucky that I tried 3 days, finally someone pick up, they said they are quite busy and will reply me soon. I waited for another 2 days, no one contact me.
Now I give up to use Jones Robinson for any letting.
Thank you for your “quick, kind, good” service.

I'm normally the last person to write a glowing review about my experience of an estate agent! Having moved 19 times over 37 years I have become accustomed to receiving over estimates on the true value of my property, which ultimately ends up with disappointment once the market eventually dictates what its worth, and promises that often do not materialise. Paul Hodgson and the JR team however have managed to surpass my expectation with the level of honesty, diligence and above-all, their ability to manage my expectation during what can be a stressful process. From day one, a believable property valuation in comparison to others received from competitors gave confidence that JR know what they are doing rather than merely trying to win a new client with inflated detail. Every email and call was answered and dealt with promptly and I cannot recommend this estate agent enough. Thank you Paul and JR Team of super hero's :)

Prior to my move in date I requested some reasonable works to be complete which they agreed however only one of those was complete on time and the others I am still waiting for (with no date set). I then moved in and found a serious issue with the security of the property which they took nearly 2 weeks to fix with no measures taken for my safety.

Although off to a rocky start I was hopeful things would get better. Another few issues came up with the property which were fixed reasonably quickly and so felt despite some works still outstanding they were making things right. Their communication throughout these works was adequate and although I would of personally wanted more, it was acceptable.
Moving up to the current date, their communication and actions have taken a nose dive. A 'reasonable' timeframe for repairs doesn't seem to be their highest priority.
Jones Robinson has the ability to be the ideal estate agents but their disorganisation and lack of willingness to get things complete if they personally don't have a legal obligation lets them down. I understand the landlord can be difficult, but the tenant shouldn't suffer for reasonable maintenance.

Thankfully, another member of staff stayed late on Friday to rectify the issue; when this was raised with senior management, we were assured this level of customer care would never happen again.
Over the course of the next year and a half of having them 'manage' our property, the service declined. Issues included:
• Not being sent the initial inventory (and having it accepted in our absence).
• Not being able to get in contact with our letting agent, despite leaving email and phone messages repeatedly.
• Not getting multiple quotes for large jobs until explicitly requested.
• Having work completed and charged to our account without being notified (we had to check our statements to be informed of what had been charged).
• Overcharging us for work being done.
• Not being aware that the tenants were breaching the terms of their letting agreement (despite visits).
We paid over £100month for the property to be managed by Jones Robinson even though we spent hours trying to get in contact with them and sort the issues which were not correctly handled by them (over £2000 in total over the course of the rental). We raised two formal complaints over the course of sixteen months; after the second complaint, we were offered a reduction in price of £8.25month for three months (~£25). We felt insulted. On both occasions Jones Robinson were not interested in listening to us. Instead, on one occasion we received a phone call where were subject to a 20-minute stream of platitudes and half-hearted promises without any attempt to engage or understand the nature of our grievance.
After we exchanged contracts to sell the house and agreed with the new owners that it would be cleaned prior to their arrival, the lettings department called us to tell us that we would likely not get our deposit back but must pay for the cleaning ourselves (£400+). In order to meet the timeframes, they gave us one hour to 'decide.' When we complained that this was unreasonable, we were again insulted by the caller who told us that we chose to be landlords. Upon complaining again, they offered to decrease the fee by £25 and refund us the money immediately. It took two months for that refund to come through.
It is disappointing that despite the Sales arm of Jones Robinson being so competent, the Lettings arm have caused us much anguish over this period. The communication, attention to detail, value for money, and personal service was shockingly poor from every individual bar one (the lady who stayed late on Friday to sort the contract). We would strongly caution any potential landlord against their use.

I have rented my property out with Jones Robinson for the past two years and can highly recommended their rental and property management service. Repairs and inspections are always arranged and completed quickly and with regular communications and any problems with the property or tenants are resolved professionally. I thought Charlotte managed the property excellently and i'd happily work with her again in the future.
