Petermans was established in 1962 by brothers Sidney and Warner Peterman. Today the company is run by cousins Howard Peterman and Wendy Peterman. I have used many estate agents over the years, but none come close to matching Petermans. We have sold my sisters flat through them. Right from valuation through to completion, they have been a great company to deal with. They showed great compassion and patience dealing with the sell. I couldn't recommend them enough.

The fees were very competitive, for the work they undertook to get the deal through to completion, they could have charged a higher fee.

Booked two viewings for 1pm and 2pm. I called them at 12:29 to say that I was running 30 mins late for the first viewing, nobody answered the call, then I emailed and apologised. They emailed back and said they were too busy and suggested to cancel the first viewing (probably without realising that the next viewing was also with me). I said okay and told them that I was heading to the second property. I also suggested them to call me for better communication as I didn’t have their mobile number and nobody would answer the office number. Then they went quiet. I arrived to the second property at 2pm, waited until 2:20. Meanwhile nobody answered my calls or replied to my emails. Not sure why they would do such a thing…

Even though after the very first viewing I totally forgot to get back to him saying that it wasn't the one, he kept in touch and found me a really nice place which ticked many boxes on my wish list.
We had to move pretty quickly after my offer was accepted and he was a great help helping with the referencing process to ensure I could move on the agreed date.
Fingers crossed I won't have any issues during my tenancy, but if I do, hopefully their customer services will be the same :)

We were so pleased to have chosen Petermans. We initially chose to work with them because they were genuinely enthusiastic about our house and we also liked the idea of dealing with a small team.
We were not disappointed with the personal service we received. They always answer the phone, are happy to help and genuinely want to do a good job for those they work with.
I really appreciated these aspects of their approach, it's a stressful time and you want someone you feel comfortable talking to and dealing with regularly. We know that they worked really hard for us and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their house.

In a world of untrustworthy and unscrupulous sales/letting agents, I have to say that it's was a breath of fresh air to deal with Petermans when buying my recent flat.
They are honest, reliable, and I got the impression that they genuinely care much more about providing a quality service to both the buyers and sellers, than making a quick quid like many others do.
If buying, you can guarantee that you can rely on Ben and team to help push the process along towards exchange of contracts. During our purchase Ben provided well balanced advice when an issue was thrown up during the conveyancing checks.
Also very friendly when undertaking the viewing- and had made the effort to look around the property in advance of the visit (unlike the rude likes of similar companies likw KFH etc who make zero effort on viewings).
Overall i'd recommend these guys and they will be top of my list when I chose to sell my property in the future.

Ben was so good he got the process over the line and ensured that all parties were achieving the sale.
I could not ask for a better service. He went far beyond what I would have expected.
It was very stressful but Ben always new what was happening and kept me so well informed
I cannot recommend him and his staff highly enough.
