Emoovs inability to control their vendor led to me losing £350 with in a matter of 24hrs. Monday evening I viewed the property Tuesday morning I made the offer in which I said I would exchange in 10 days (very fast for a normal transaction), in the afternoon the offer was accepted. All going very well so far. Wednesday as agreed I sent them my surveyors details and THEY booked an appointment with him for him to go around the next day. This is where things start to go very wrong indeed! At this point I pay my surveyor £350 safe in the knowledge the transaction is going to proceed. Thursday I hear absolutely nothing from EMOOV... My surveyor turns up does the survey. Whats the problem... Well my solicitor receives an email from the vendor saying that, they should contact they agent as Im no longer buying the property and it is being completed on by another purchaser today. I ring EMOOV and nobody has a clue a) what is going on and b) who I should speak to, so after franticly panicking about going on I finally speak to someone, awhile later I may add who informs me that they have in fact sold to someone else and the £350 I had only just spent was indeed a complete waste of money!! Brilliant! So now EMOOV have the fee from the vendor, The vendor has his money and poor old me... well I'm £350 lighter and given absolutely no opportunity to increase my offer or for that matter actually been told what is going on. Now I understand that mistakes happen and things slip though the net. But for me it is how people deal with this mistakes and actually try to rectify them is what makes or breaks a company. Unfortunately for me even though I had absolutely no control over the situation and acted in good faith of EMOOV to control their client to know what was going on, and even though I had been sent the memorandum of sale and instructed both a surveyor and solicitor based on the information I was given. EMOOV have declined to re-pay my £350 as a good will gesture or make any contribution towards it. Now I feel this is horrendous, EMOOV a big corporate and me a normal 9-5 guy £350 is a lot of money to me, they sell thousands of house so is isn't a lot to them, They could have made a good will gesture, in their own words they admit this isn't at all fair and I have been unfairly treated are unwilling to give me anything back. Had they helped me out I would be leaving a 5* review saying what great guys an awful situation happened to me and they made it right. However sadly this is not the case and thus I leave a 1*. I would end this buy saying if your buying a home and EMOOV are the agents be very aware before you hand over any money...

Emoov failed to deliver a service at any level. The agent who valued and photographed my house was late on both occasions.
