We had our property managed by the estate agent this year. To begin the year, we moved into a filthy house, with extensive damp, one particular area due to a leaking shower. The wardrobes in two rooms were collapsing, I need not go on. Despite this, the original inventory from the initial inspection listed no issues, which we of course amended. Throughout the tenancy, issues were not dealt with on a number of occasions. The door lock was well below unipol standards (NH claim to follow the unipol code), they refused to get us the code for the burglar alarm (again a unipol requirement) amongst other things. We had our property manager change to Dominic half way through the year, and the service remained shocking. Throughout our communications with Dominic, he was also rude, as well as distinctly unhelpful.

Appalling service with no duty of care to the tenant. Avoid at all costs. Communication is poor with a pure focus on profit.

They told me i still have to pay the rent as no get out clause (disgusting for students) or find someone to take over my room, how can i find someone when they can't fill the other rooms.

Have been in touch get no response want contract to end and cant even get damage deposit back not there to cause any damage.
Total disgrace to students, total money grabbers. Avoid this company as far as you can.

Contract took too long to come through,had to keep reminding the office to send it, my parents had to pressure the office before they sent the contract and when I arrived at the property the shower was not working and it takes days for them to get it fixed along with the shower door, floor very croaked and noisy, blinds broken, wardrobe unstable. Was constantly being told someone will call me back and no response. Wouldn't recommend for students as this was and still is a process in which is very distressing and as students we have other things to stress about regarding the course we are studying! Not professionally competent in my opinion. Only try out Nicolas Humphreys if you are really really desperate for Accomodation even then it's not even worth it

during our time with nicholas humphrey's we had slight issues with the property. The usual different issues you get in these neglected over priced student abodes. (Damp, mould, leaks etc). also when communicating with them about issues around the house, they would take up to a number of days to come and ammend the issue. ovbiously, they have more important needs to attend to. ie, showing other unsuspecting customers to these houses, with only an email in the morning saying a house viewing will be made. could a slightly more appropriate to give tenants a 24 hour notice as for a respect for privacy.

I had some problems with how I'd manage rent at a property I'm due to move in to this June, because of this I thought I would have to leave the tenancy. After speaking to Kirsty, she got in touch with our landlord and made arrangements so I was able to pay my rent at a later stage in larger instalments as before hand I would have not been able to make the first payment. After Kirsty resolves this issue it took a massive weight off of my shoulders as I was unsure how I would be able to resolve the issue but Kirsty and my landlord were both very understanding and considerate and were able to help me out!

I had 2 student properties in Lenton that were managed by Dominic and his team, they were incredibly professional helpful and friendly. They managed to selll both of them at my request for an good price and in record time. I'm really pleased with him, so much so that I am getting them round today to value and hopefully sell my own personal house. I have every confidence in them. Thank you for your 5 star service. We organised house viewings with Nicholas Humphreys just before we broke up for Christmas.
