Con: - Late for viewing appointment - Lots of typos in all correspondence - Took over £3k off me and then gave the flat to someone else - Overall unprofessional Pro: - Did give me my money back, which, at that point, came almost as a surprise

Use them as a landlord to find tenants in 2012 Very unproffesional agency. The tenancy selection procedure was a major headache. They would provide unsuitable tenants and waste my time. Paperwork not always professionally completed. In the end I stopped using them as all I got was a headache. My opinion of them is that they are unproffesional and not very honest. If you wish to use them I would suggest you research them fully.

A junior agent provoked ill-feelings in my tenants by telling them that I had to install new facilities for which no such requirement existed, either in the tenancy agreement or elsewhere. They took a lot of pacifying, though good relations were eventually restored. But when I explained the issue... Read Full Review

They took a lot of pacifying, though good relations were eventually restored. But when I explained the issue to this agent at the time they told me to 'just get it sorted'; and in a subsequent phone conversation the agent shouted and ranted at me, and then hung up - it was shocking!

I suppose this junior agent just didn't understand the job, but the agency manager seemed to have no problem with the actions of his staff. I switched agency at the earliest opportunity. Generally I don't think they got very good rates for that place - the new agent achieved a significantly higher rent.

I recently used City & Urban, Shoreditch to market my property on the Islington/Old Street border. I thought that the service from the initial valuation through to completion was not only professional, but also very efficient.
I started the selling process by inviting a three agents round. I found City & Urban's confidence in realistic pricing, and knowledge of the area, to be above board in comparison to the other agents.
They used their Highbury & Islington and Shoreditch branches to advertise the property, along with the major websites, too. It took only 3 weeks to get a full asking price offer, and, although the sale wasn't the most simple, the office were very proactive in getting things through with solicitors.
I would certainly recommend City & Urban for any sellers who are worried about who to use. They offered me a completely transparent service and I would definitely use again.
