Matt was extremely available, quick and responsive at any stage and advised us for the best. We were extremely satisfied and chuffed to see TFC's promise about estimated rent price was kept and the deadline for finding a tenant was met well in advance to what agreed. Thanks Matthew and Flat Company, absolutely recommended.

Flat company has been a great agency throughout my tenancy. Jessica was the lady I communicated with almost every time throughout my tenancy so everything that comes next basically refers to her. Very quick process of renting a property with them, extremely helpful with any issues that came up. During the tenancy , a few problems arose in the flat (e.g. broken bed , boiler faults) but they were always VERY quick in responding and fixing any issues. They also conducted routine maintainance in the flat, they put new carpets in my bedroom, changed a slightly broken blind, everything without me asking them to take action but simply because they knew something was outdated. During the checkout process again they were very helpful and quick with returning my deposit. Their suggestions for deductions were more than reasonable (did not charge more than £50 from a £1,500 deposit!). Overall it was a great experience renting from then and if I had to choose, I'd definitely choose a property let from them instead of any other agency.

I have had a very positive experience as a landlord with The Flat Company. They were well-organised and efficient, with reliably quick responses to issues and requests. They ensured that my property was consistently occupied over a number of years while I lived abroad. Staff often went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. In particular, Jessica Jamieson and Ryan Wallace gave 110%. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Flat Company

Would not rent a property with The Flat Company again. Didn't try to renegotiate our rent with the landlord after we said that the flat was too expensive. However, the flat was put onto the market for £100 less PCM after we moved out. Staff were very unhelpful and do not answer your questions. Multiple emails were sent and only select questions were answered. Highly unprofessional. after our move out we we're incorrectly deducted money from our deposit and threatened to charge us for keys that we handed back to them. All in all a schooling service and I will not be renting with this company again. Stay clear at all costs.

Elona has been extremely supportive and helpful dealing with an issue from a few years ago when I was in a property managed by the flat company. She has been very genuine and actually taken her time (which is limited as she is very busy) to help me with this situation. Wish she was my property manager now!

NEVER EVER RENT WITH THIS COMPANY. After all the letting agent horror stories I have heard, I feel that ours must be one of the worst. This company was nothing but awful from day one of signing our lease. They failed to inform us prior to our move in day that work in our bathroom would not be completed before we moved in, which was bomb drop number one. Thankfully my mum was inside the meeting with us, because they were going to make us go for over a week without a shower and suggested SHOWERING AT A LOCAL GYM... just one week after we moved in, the entire ceiling in our bathroom collapsed onto the floor - massive safety hazard and complete mould ridden disgrace. And so our saga continued, they at least provided us with a shower at the local convent!!! The supposed 'compenstation' we received amounted to abosultely nothing, which in our opinion was just a ploy for the company to con some students out of money and take us for fools. Following on from this, days after the bathroom was 'finished', we noticed that they hadn't asked for a new extractor fan to be fitted - so where did they think all the wet and damp air would go? That's right, back into the walls they have just replaced. And while we're on that subject, the workmanship in the bathroom was absolutely awful, never in my life have I seen such a mess. But then what would I know? I'm just a students, and The Flat Company like to make students feel like they know nothing. Their customer service is horrendous, their receptionist is a sarcastic nightmare and their 'director' once asked me on the phone 'and what do you expect me to do about that at 6pm'? Well, I certainly didn't expect to be spoken to like that. They messed us around with about 4 different property managers throughout our time in the flat - supposed managers who couldn't even manage to write an email reply, far less manage a number of properties and their occupants. Oh, and don't be fooled by their supposed professional cleaners that go into the flats prior to move in, I've seen a local dump cleaner than ours was! Thankfully again our parents came armed with cleaning products to assist in actually cleaning the property. And then, they have the cheek to tell you that you left it less clean than when you moved in... I dread to think the mess these people live in. So, overall, their vile attiritudes towards students, their over priced rent for flats that need more than just a 'lick of paint' and awful management left us having one of the worst years at university yet. I would not under any circumstances recommend this flat company to anyone.

I have been with the flat company for 2 years and they are the only letting agency in which I have not had a single problem. Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
