I made a offer of 241k for the house that cost 230k, after 2 days I received the confirmation of my offer but there was wrong amount listed, when called they said that was a mistake and even if they confirmed that at the moment my offer was the highest they said that owner decided to go with the other offer. I just believe that they passed wrong amount, or the other option is that that house was sold to their cousins or other relatives.
To mention after reporting a wrong amount offer that I received on my email, I immediately received another confirmation with correct amount already and that house immediately was marked sold.
Just to mention I spoke with one lady but not sure the name so that's why decided to select * for his role in the company.

I had a very traumatic experience with castles.I was told a property i viewed was allowed pets.When it came to the day of signing my contract found out that i could not have pets.What was so disgusting they totally denied that i was told that.Now lets think about this why would i have gone all this way and then could not bring my dog or daughters cat with me .I had 5 weeks off work due to this the stress i went through was so bad .Castles didn't care they just told me they had done no wrong doing .I lost the place i was looking forward to starting my new life as i h ad recently been divorced.I had even considered rehoming my dog .would never use castles ever even if there was a property they had for sale i loved . i fought to get money back that i had lost .This caused more stress to.Now i am still in my martial home taken it off the market as could not face going through it after this .my buyers were let down and sellers of the property i was purchasing .I feel castles were unprofessional and had no empathy to what had happened.They should have just been honest and apologised. An extremely unhappy customer.

I went to view a property on the 10th July, put an offer in on the 11th July then had to wait until the 16th of July to find out if my offer was accepted. It was accepted much to my delight however Castles never sent out a 'Sales Letter' to tell me that subject to contract the property was mine. This lead to the property remaining on their website and Rightmove 'for sale' 5 days after my offer was accepted. If you called them to book a viewing during this time they would tell you that 'they are waiting for an offer to be accepted' even though I had already instructed my solicitor and Castles had their details.
Two days later on the 18th July I receive a phone call to say that another offer had come in for that property that they have to put to the sellers.
On 20th July Castles called to say that the other offer was accepted, and the place is no longer mine. Almost immediately the property was changed to Sold STC. Why didn't they act so quickly for me?

Gary Fear helped a lot when he rang me to ask me what property I was looking to view. I had a lot of things I wanted in my property search but nothing was to much for him and he was very friendly and helpful.
I didn't need Gary's help for long due to finding a property elsewhere but I know if I need any assistance with a property search in the future then Gary will be there to help.

The viewing was fine â then I agreed to rent the property
Didn't hear back after they took holding deposit, so emailed them 9 days later
Was told I should have known offer was accepted because referencing link was sent to my employers
Moving in date took forever to confirm â unnecessary stress as I had delivery men all booked and waiting
Liaising with them was fine at first â
Then I moved in and found none of the pre-conditions were met
Flat was left with old furniture, stained bedding and everything else they were supposed to have cleaned out
Agency took no responsibility to remove the items (as per the holding contract)
Broken light switches not working â wouldn't fix
Many other issues fall on deaf ears
Liaising with 4 people regarding one job â
Asked to repeatedly send photo's to each person
I have a day job â but have spent so much time trying to sort out things with this agency
If I'd have known, I would definitely have chosen another letting agent
There weren't enough reviews of the agency online
Warning future people who want to let â look for another agent who has the same property and save yourself the long drawn out stress.
Seriously the worst agency I've dealt with and it's a shame to finally reach that conclusion.

Our flat sale was a little complicated but both Mike and Mark kept ringing me and telling me that it was all going to work out. They both helped sale the flat along with Austen coming over twice and do photographs of our flat. It was stressful but a good experience having the help and support from everyone at Castles especially Mike, Mark and Austen. Also thank you to Sophie to helped with viewings and always putting a few minutes to speak with myself about the process. I felt confident with Castles being able to help sell my flat and it was completed on the 6th July 2018. Thank you all for helping and supporting me through the sale and completion.

After a bad experience with an internet agent, Castles took over my sale and showed how it's done. From the first call I made I received first class service, they kept me informed every step of the way, they were extremely professional, courteous, informative, friendly and more importantly got the job done. Their after sales care was equally as efficient and I could not be happier with the service I received. Took some doing because I was not a fan of Estate Agents after my experience with Purple Bricks.

Contact through other members of staff involved was excellent .
Feedback regarding viewings was very good.
overall very happy with the service given.
One minor issue, both parties involved with sale, not fully kept
up to speed with emails, despite request.

We had a property which we had rented out through the lettings team at Castles since 2013. We have now gone on and sold the property through castles recently. We can honestly say that over the years the dealings with Castles and the various people has always been excellent both on the lettings and sales teams.
