Marcus showed outstanding skills in achieving a fair sale price to a qualified buyer and sourcing solutions at every step. Kim demonstrated how supremely expert she is at progressing the sale with composure and experience. The whole team involved in forming property details and keeping me informed were friendly, efficient and professional. As an ex-estate agent myself I have seen some of the best and worst organisations and can say without reserve that CJ Hole really impressed me and the family and I would exclusively use them for any future property needs.

The Fees may be higher than others out there but I got the standard of service I would expect for the level of fees, and they exceeded my expectations.

Please not CJ Hole is a franchise, I have dealt with CJ Hole - Southville and their reviews are much worse for good reason. Southville never picked up the phone when I called and e-mailed replies took days.

We had an overall excellent experience with CJ Hole Clifton for the sale of our flat and would like to commend the team for their outstanding service. Howard Davis is most professional, helpful, and responsive, does an excellent job of the valuation and of rendering advice throughout, is very personable, always leaving a good impression, and, most of all, successfully manages a high quality team with a strong work ethic. Howard went out of his way to ensure that we were accommodated and satisfied following a minor glitch with scheduling the photographer, which we appreciated. Rachel Smith shines in her ability to sell sell sell. She is pragmatic, task focused, and highly organised, seizing the initiative and following up with all parties without fail. This is immensely helpful in the often fraught buying/selling process in England, which is so full of uncertainties. Rachel's actions show that she is on top of her game and provide assurance through the housing quagmire. We were especially happy with the prompt feedback from the agents (Rachel and Vince) following viewings and found being kept in the loop and getting a glimpse into what the viewers might have been thinking incredibly helpful both for reflecting on our prospective buyers/the market, and for calming our nerves as they worked to help us secure a sale. In short, our experience with CJ Hole Clifton exceeded our expectations. You would be in excellent hands if you chose them as your estate agent.

Firstly i was given a notice of works which i would be party to, 24 hours before exchange and completion that is costing me nearly £1k.
Then on completion i was handed one set of keys and now shown the apartment, i.e. where any meters are situated, i.e. electric, stop cock for water in the apartment, where the door entry system fob position was.
The agent had done no checks, the apartment was filthy, and keys were missing.
So just what do you do for your money. Crap service.

Pleasant and efficient people to deal with. My fault for not reading the T's & C's though - finders fee is NOT 50% as I was told, as VAT at 20% is added - so total finders fee is in fact 60%. Likewise, adding VAT to a £60 deposit holder's fee? - in hindsight I should have just done this... Read Full Review
What agent could do to change your mind?
been explicit in conversation (not T&C\'s) about costs. - 60% finder\'s fee (including VAT, so not the 50% mentioned verbally) - £72 for holding the deposit (which was not mentioned on the phone call where I asked for this service, assuming it would be included as part of the 60% finder\'s fee to be honest).

My fault for not reading the T's & C's though - finders fee is NOT 50% as I was told, as VAT at 20% is added - so total finders fee is in fact 60%.
Likewise, adding VAT to a £60 deposit holder's fee? - in hindsight I should have just done this myself (although I certainly do not recall a conversation along the lines of "If we hold the deposit for you it will cost £72, otherwise I wouldn't have done this).
An expensive lesson learned, and no doubt all agencies operate with similar fees.
But as a first time landlord I don't feel all was as transparent as it could have been, and can only hope now to break even over the 6 months tenancy.
If you're an absentee landlord however, CJ Hole has a good presence in the area and a pleasant, efficient group of employees.
