WARNING TO ALL VENDORS USING CONNELLS OF BASINGSTOKE
I made an appointment to view a property in Basingstoke today. The vendor kindly agreed to a very last minute appointment within the hour The agent in Basingstoke rang me before viewing to say that if I liked property and wanted to make an offer he could not put my offer forward until I had agreed to an appointment with their mortgage advisor. I told him my mortgage was arranged with hsbc and had agreement in principle and that i did not want an appointment. He again told me he would not put offer forward unless I agreed! Where is freedom of choice!! I cancelled viewing and will not view any further properties with Connells of Basingstoke in future!
I am sorry to the vendor as their sale had just fallen through and I imagine they were keen for a new buyer. I could have offered full asking price.
WARNING to all vendors using Connells!! They are turning your buyers away. DO NOT USE THEM!

Great Service and Customer Care.
Before speaking to Connells we were under a false pretence on how much we could afford, and discovered we could borrow a lot more than what we first thought which completely opened up the housing market to us.
Our main contact was Enzo who was extremely helpful and always available to talk to. He provided great knowledge and advice, even on topics which weren't related to out mortgage. He helped us a lot through the whole process.

If it weren't for him we may not have bought a house due to nationwide sapping the life out of us and adding searches to my impeccable rating. They did remove the many searches but it took months

I was very happy with the service I received from Connells. Darren Minton was very efficient from start to finish keeping me up to date with the progress of the sale and being the go between for me and my buyer. All of the office staff were efficient, polite and responsive but my main dealings were with Enzo Seaman, the superb mortgage advisor who after securing my mortgage then went over and above in helping to us to purchase the very house that we really wanted. He continued this help and support throughout a very prolonged period to completion and on several occasions made action take place when my solicitors did not ! We are very grateful to him and cannot recommend Enzo and the Beggarwood office highly enough - Julie and Mike
