A letting agent that takes no responsibility or duty of care for tenants. As an individual who takes great responsibility in upholding contractual agreements I find it upsetting and a betrayal of trust when a company entrusted to administer a property letting consistently perform their duties inadequately. My trust has been seriously abused by this company where they take a biased approach to their business favouring the interests of the landlords over the interests/requirements of their tenants. I have been financially compromised to the benefit of the landlord by this company despite acting in good faith and within the terms of the contract, with no recourse from the directors of the company who repeatedly refuse to consider that a customer complaint can be substantiated. I have provided conclusive evidence of sub-optimal and often sub-standard customer care only to have the behaviour of the named staff condoned and supported. This is a company that should be avoided if you want fair treatment, otherwise expect to be disadvantaged if you are an honest customer.
What agent could do to change your mind?
To give serious consideration to a customer complaint when there is compelling and extensive areas of concern. A compassionate understanding and consolatory manner should be maintained at all times and any customer who has taken the time to raise concerns does not want to be met with denial and unwillingness to believe that there is potential deficits within their business.

We employed Dawsons Mumbles branch to sell our property in October 2022 and we are completing tomorrow. Throughout the whole process the staff at the office headed by Emma Bolton have been absolutely magnificent. Their communication has been superb keeping us informed every step of the way and nothing has been too much trouble. We have dealt with Emma, Andrea and Sam in the main and I would have thoroughly recommend Dawsons Mumbles branch if you are considering selling your property.

I concur with the other reviews. This letting agency is an absolute disgrace. Do not believe a word that comes out of their mouths. They are shamefully slow at dealing with problems, and they never call me back when I have left a message. Of the 3 'after hours' numbers they gave me for emergency maintenance, 1 has never worked... If I could give Dawsons half a star, I would. This is the worst estate agency I have ever dealt with. They are shamefully slow at dealing with problems, and they never call me back when I have left a message. Of the 3 'after hours' numbers they gave me for emergency maintenance, 1 has never worked (or the guy never answers his phone). My house frequently has problems with the gas/hot water system, and the staff at Dawsons take their sweet time to contact British gas (once I had to wait almost a week). They are incompetent, poor communicators, and display almost total disregard for tenants. I find it hard to believe they are still in business.

I would not recommend this agency at all - I only wish I had read the reviews on this site, I completely agree with them all. From the time I signed the agreement I just felt there was no respect shown to me whatsoever, as a tenant and CUSTOMER. The fact that money had changed hands and I was actually a customer seemed to completely pass them by. In my opinion you get better customer service if you are buying a �2 burger in a fast food outlet ! One particular agent in the office might just as well pick up the phone with 'What do you want ?' because that is what her tone always implied. I must also warn any prospective tenant to THOROUGHLY CHECK YOUR INVENTORY when you move in because I was blamed for things when I moved out that I hadn't been responsible for, but I couldn't prove it as I hadn't taken photos nor checked the inventory with a fine toothcomb when I moved in. I learnt a lesson - to the tune of a �300 deposit deduction ! This included a �60 'cleaning' charge even though the house had been cleaned thoroughly when I left. I will never use this agency again and as I am also a landlord I could have passed them on new business and referrals, but there is no chance I will do this now. I am so relieved to have finished my dealings with them.

Hi all
Please please do not go anywhere near Dawson Letting they tend to treat there tenants very poorly and respect the landlords more then tenant. Examples I was stopped by a parent at the school which is not far from my home. I was advised that I will be having a lot of problems with disrepairs at the property which I was concerned how this person knew they told me that they used to live there as tenants. Dawson knows all about this and the landlords never wants to fix these disrepairs i said thanks I will keep this in mind . After view months boiler broke down 6 times no hot water, fly nest in the loft which spreaded in kids room took weeks to sort out I was advised from Dawson to climb up in loft use spray to kill them I said are you mad I sent a handy man up there he was attacked by a lot them he phone up Dawson explaining they need pest control urgently. The electronic gates where broken it locked me in view times was late for work still not fixed today. 7 mths my circumstance of work had changed I was let go of my work I explained to Dawson what happen they had no interest I was told I would lose my deposits as I'm in 12 mths contract I would also need to pay for landlords advertising £565 including vat. If they can not find tenant to move in I would need to pay 5 mths rent.I advised them that I would try pay for advertise which was strange.
I contacted Dawson regards leaving property early as I'm struggling with the rent need to find work I was advised that they need me at the property for inventory meaning check out but I have to wait outside with my kids well they do there checks which if they weren't up to no good I haven't moved out yet and they advised me that I can not be in the house when there doing there inspection with all my valuable in my house. I find Dawson not helpful and rude they have stressed me out with all dispairs,showing people the property to let well leaving my electric garage door left wide open door unlocked unsafe for a stranger to just walk in. They really make me ill.

What agent could do to change your mind?
To give serious consideration to a customer complaint when there is compelling and extensive areas of concern. Couldn't organise a P#⃣#⃣#⃣ up in a Brewery. Cocked up Water bill so I had to contact SWALEC to restart my own house account that they had cancelled instead of let property. Lost my property keys and swore blind that I had taken them. I had to nag them to find and hey presto they were found downstairs in Sales after a week! Very complacent in Sales. Did not inform me that a prospective buyer had purchased another property in same apartment block until I asked what had happened. Expensive management charges. Much more than West Wales properties with whom I let a house in St David's.
DO NOT USE!!!!
