Chris Cooper found us an apartment to rent for 4 weeks. He was professional, reliable and managed the negotiation brilliantly. We were really impressed with how he managed the transaction, bringing it from start to finish within a few days in what was a rather difficult situation, as most landlords weren't willing to go for such a short let. The apartment was exactly right for our needs, and Chris did everything he promised as we went along, from finding out the porter's mobile number to visiting the apartment the day before we moved in to ensure it had been cleaned. These are the kind of things that many people agree to do, but don't follow through with, and we so appreciate what he did for us. Even after we moved in, Chris continued to be contactable and helped us with our settling in issues. When we found out that we needed to extend the lease for 2 more weeks, Chris got Fi Walkley on the case, and she too was absolutely amazing. The landlord wasn't too keen to extend, but she knew we desperately needed the extra 2 weeks, and she made sure that she kept badgering him until he relented. I can't say how many sleepless nights she saved me. We are so pleased with our experience with Chris and Fi. We've been telling all our friends about the amazing service we received from Foxtons.

I am convinced Foxtons is a government initiative to employ mentally disabled people. Do not be fooled by their prestige or firmly established status, this company is run by complete morons. They constantly put incorrect info on our contract and had to ask us to resign it multiple times, they would lose documentation that we sent them and ask us to resend it, they will blow up your phone but then disappear any time you need to contact them. Worst of all was their appallingly unprofessional nature; one time I had to call them, and as I was on the phone with the agent, she was entertaining another casual conversation w/ a coworker in the background, clearly not listening to what I was saying, and asking me to repeat myself multiple times. Also, as part of the renting process, they are partnered with this god awful company known as Let Alliance. Never in my life have I experienced a more invasive process; to verify you're fit to rent, they will ask you for everything short of a urine sample, and will continue to harass you without end. Despite proving that she's gainfully employed and that she had more than enough money to pay rent, they asked my fiance to show them proof of being in possession of £14k, bc she is not a UK citizen. I don't know many people who have that kind of money lying around, and if you're a foreigner and you don't have large sums of cash lying around, you can forget about renting from here. Worst renting experience of my life. I would take some shady tax-dodging Eastern European landlord over these idiots any day.

He advised me on how to find someone to replace me which was very useful as this is my first experience with anything relating to moving out independently and managing renting as a single occupant. I have felt I could count on him and I really recommend Narean if you want to move to Chiswick or the surrounding areas and feel that you have someone who can guide you but still let you take initiative during the process. I was able to choose a date to move out that best suited myself and the incoming tenant and have felt that I have a lot of freedom during the process.

It’s a shame that you can’t give minus star reviews.
They don’t call them F**ckstons for nothing.
I strongly recommend that you do not rent from Foxtons.
Our experience with the Chiswick branch was awful.
Firstly we were “sold the house” by Harriet guaranteeing that it would be in “show home condition”.
When we moved in in January 2021 we were aghast at the condition of the place, so much so that we took the keys straight back to their offices and said that we wanted to cancel and threatened legal action if they refused.
Iain, to his credit tried to remedy the situation though he didn’t think that any of the problems should prevent us moving in namely:
The boiler leaked and we had no heating or hot water.
The oven didn’t work.
The house was filthy, it had not been cleaned properly.
The sofa looked like it had been taken off a skip.
Both mattresses were urine and blood stained.
The walls are carpets were covered with marks and stains.
The curtains had tears and stains…..the list went on….but Jonathan at Foxtons thought the house was in good enough condition to live in and that we had unrealistic expectations about what an 8 year old rental should be like (bearing in mind, dear reader, that we were paying £2595.00 per month!!).
It took a full month to get the house fit to live in but they weren’t able to remove the stains on the sofa, carpets and curtains. We replaced the mattresses at no cost to the landlord.
We finally moved in in February but had to pay the rent for January even though we weren’t in but regularly went backwards and forwards letting cleaners, painters and engineers in and out without any word of thanks from Foxtons.
At the end of the term they wanted £1235.00 for damage caused to (yes you’ve guessed it) the sofa, walls, carpets and curtains as well as other historical damage caused by previous tenants.
If you are foolish enough to rent from them make sure you take plenty of photos of everything because they will try and stitch you up when you leave.

we paid 7 months in advance and received the contract and agents promised to do the painting in 3 weeks time and fix other issues like heaters and bathroom cleaning asap.
After few days we started follow up and we found there is absolutely no respond from the responsible person, I personally sent 15 e-mails and make 20 phone calls but still no body shared any time line for the same .
This is the worst experience i have in my life as a new comer in UK...

Several weeks ago I gave Foxtons a negative review, and when they contacted me, I removed it. I was too foolish and too naive to trust them again. So this time I have to leave my genuine experience here.
For more than once, I was convinced by Foxtons that the seller really wanted to sell me so I signed that contract, waited and waited, but on the last day, I was informed the case failed without any explanation and Foxtons lost liaison with the seller. And on that day, I had already given notice to my old landlord, my tenant contract expiring in 72 hours and I should have a wedding on the next week, and I had to cancel it.
I would not say Foxtons is an incompetent company because for more than 4 month, I was kept in dark by them and still chose to believe the fake image that Foxtons shown me. I have to say they are very good at it.
This is a company only cares about its profit, which is a common sense. My cooperation was never really respected while the sale team only chose on the seller's side which was obviously more profitable to them. Even after the seller breach the deal, refused to exchange the flat to me, I was told 'I'm sorry but the seller is under dreadful situation, it's very difficult to him' WHY SHOULD I F*** CARE A PERSON LET ME HOMELESS AND RUINED MY WEDDING!!! My patience only means how eager I want that it so they could easily drag me into this scam again and again. As long as either one side pay their agent fee, they don't care whether the contract can be executed or not. Foxtons would never understand what's a nightmare it brought to me but one clear fact they know is I will never forever forgive them.

So far I'm very disappointed with the whole service I've received.
They expect you to jump through their hoops to rent from them, as soon as they have your money they disappear.
At the outset I gave a long list of things that needed addressing, rotten kitchen worktop, carpets unfit for a smelly student, doors missing keys so can't be locked, garage door won't open and no key, dishwasher won't empty, shower doors won't close, ceilings water leaks, stains, plaster falling off, bathroom extractors not working, 240V open bathroom lights, ceiling roses missing, stuff like this. A month later, still waiting for any of it to be resolved.
The maintenance person seems to work only part time and all she does is pass messages to the owner who never replies. Supposed to be fully managed by Foxtons. I'm not paying for a middle man, I'm paying for allegedly fully managed.
Waste of space. I'd fix it myself but then I'd be held accountable with the inventory.

I discovered that I had a serial rental cheat in my unit that had already been evicted by Foxtons prior the uptake of my unit. I discovered that I had a serial rental cheat in my unit that had already been evicted by Foxtons prior the uptake of my unit. During the rental period my unit has been trashed, several adult occupants in violation of the lease were housed in my unit by the tenant and a litany of broken fixtures and fittings were all for my account as Foxtons advised I could not prove the tenant was responsible. They ignored my increasing requests for inspections and the result was 8 months of non payment of rental, a final eviction, and a filthy and derelict unit that will require a gutting to refurbish. Although I replaced Foxtons with alternative agents during the process to evict the tenant they are attempting to extort 8 months of further management fees from me. I have presently more than GBP20 000.00 in losses excluding the costs to attend to my ruined unit.

Pay very high charges then expect to do all the work yourself getting quotes and repairs done, and cleaning and removing rubbish. You'll pay for any damages the tenants do too. If you don't do the work yourself they will let the property run down. They don't even bother visiting... Read Full Review

If Foxtons manage your short lets expect to pay 30% of your rental fee to them plus at least another 10% or more in additional fees and charges. Exceptionally poor value for money. It must work out at £500+/hr of time they actually spend working on your behalf v's money charges. And the tenants are ripped off too.

They don't even bother visiting the property themselves and staff frequently change, so when you do speak to someone they have no idea what you are talking about. They do NOT manage on your behalf, they are managing for the tenants, though on short lets this seems to mean not answering calls from tenants who have a problem as they know they'll leave soon anyway. Their strategy seems to be do do as little or nothing at all for their fees if possible. If they do eventually send trades in they will massively mark up their costs, and you'll pay for that too.

I have been on contact with a number of unhappy ex Foxtons customers and we have are going to approach watchdog with our storey, we understand from the BBC that if they get a large number of complaints they will run another storey. Terrible terrible letting agent. Let property for 2 years. The tenant left in 6 months and left the property in a real state. Agent fees is almost twice as high as local agents. They have good technology to manage things but the service is terrible and would not recommend to anyone even as the last resort.

Terrible terrible letting agent.
Let property for 2 years. The tenant left in 6 months and left the property in a real state.
There was not a single visit checks by the agent even though it was fully managed.
There was no attempt by agent to visit the flat to check the state after the tenant left.
Had the get it professionally cleaned myself even though tenant was supposed to do as part of the contract.
Did not return my bills letters to me which led to fine for late payment.
Avoid foxtons like the plague.
