My need to move is again, and has been, on the agenda, but family ties have to be taken into consideration. Kathryn has been such a source of support to me, unpressurised. When the time is right, taking into account the present housing market, Kathryn is the person I would seek the help from.

We recently purchased a property in Wells for the sole purpose of letting.
We were advised to contact Adam from Palmer Snell and this was probably the best advice we received.
Adam, along with Tom, proved to be very helpful from the first inspection of the property through to successfully finding us a suitable tenant.
The communication was always very clear and succinct, which was very much appreciated.

If you want to sell your house at market value then I suggest you use literally ANY other estate agents because Palmer Snell obviously don't know the local house market at all... they valued my property £200,000 - £240,000 below all of other Estate Agents! If you want to sell your house at market value then I suggest you use literally ANY other estate agents because Palmer Snell obviously don't know the local house market at all... they valued my property £200,000 - £240,000 below all of other Estate Agents! That's a lot considering the others came in at around £550,000 - £600,000...Every other agent came in with around the same price with the exception of these jokers!

Appalling estate agents. I am an older single lady and I was constantly being pushed to complete the sale before Xmas without being given the time to ask any questions, thank goodness my solicitor did some digging and advised me under no circumstances to buy this house or I would have been responsible for all of the illegal work that had been done.
Now he has put the property back on the market knowing full well what the situation is in the hopes that some other mug will buy the property without doing any research.
This property should NOT have been put back on the market while there is listed work that has not been signed off as it is illegal unless the buyer has been expressly informed and I very much doubt that is going to happen. They constantly tried to fob me off.
I am in the process of reporting this seller and the estate agent to the listed building department at the local council and will also be putting a formal complaint in to Propertymark and will also be looking to going to the small claims court to get my money back. Do not use this agent they are crooks.

A couple of the times we went into branch, they were polite. But the majority of our interactions have been poor!

Honestly the most un helpful un professional letting agency ever.
I have rented in different parts of the country and have never had such a negative experience from start to finish.
Firstly, they tried to charge close to £500 just for reference checks ( kindly reduced to £350!!!) which in my opinion even by London prices seems quite high.
The lady checking me into the property seemed to have very little knowledge about the place and seemed rushed, all requests were met with unfulfilled promises.
They were very unhelpful when i wanted to leave the property .
I had to report any problems with the property to the landlords ( unfortunately the were equally unhelpful , when i went to Palmer Snell they just told me to go to the landlords....viscous circle)
The worst thing, apart from the prices was the fact that i thought i was entering into a short term contract only to find out it was a 12 month contract. ( Obviously this was an error on my behalf and should have read the contract more carefully but lets be honest, moving house is hard enough, i honestly thought it was a 6 month rolling contract like every other place i have rented)

My present landlady ended up managing the property herself after using them but nothing got fixed, they never passed on any problems i.e unable to open front door as so badly warped and rotten, I spent 2 days cleaning property when moved in - supposed to be cleaned. Had so many problems- too many to list, unfortunately they seem to dominate the market in letting round here and I need to move again hence why I have tried to use their services, oh and they charge a fortune.
