Been waiting to review them until I got a bit of my deposit back. To start off, as most people only read the first line, they left us with no heating in our living room for 3 months through winter. One day they turned up and told us our gas fire didn't work, and it took them 3 months to replace it with an electric one. The new electric one was smaller, so you'd expect them to cover up the area around it with wallpaper/paint? yeah no. That was left until after we left. (over a year). Every problem was a huge issue with them, taking weekly phone calls to have any chance of getting anything fixed. When we moved in the toilet seat was only attached by one latch, and that never got replaced. They said the old We'll get in touch with the landlord then we'd never hear from them again.They were completely useless. After a huge bunch of things going wrong (I think over the 2 years we lived there the hobs, sink, freezer and fire all broke)(which gives you an idea of the state of the flat) they had the balls to try and claim our full deposit, with their reasoning being a bunch of things were wrong that they caused.
In summary, avoid

I give Verity 5 stars as from the minute I walked into murray and Currie I was warm welcomed and even the correspondence prior to meeting was efficient and informative. Verity made everything very clear and I knew exactly what I was getting into. She was very professional and went above and beyond to do things for me. I would definitely visit murray and Currie again to rent a property especially with verity's knowledge in the climate and market in Aberdeen at the moment. I would definitely recommend murray and Currie in Aberdeen as it is the best leasing agency I have been with in Aberdeen!

Gave Verity 3 properties to rent price and all were rented within a 2 weeks of going on the market, realistic rental advised, competent viewing and very good feedback from tenants. Very well presented and offices clean and tidy. Would recommend Murray and Currie fees very reasonable, realistic and flexible with the current climate in Aberdeen which is in a deep recession at the moment and I am in touch with a lot of Landlords who have properties unlet.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Following through with action after their numerous apologies would have helped to redress the faults, but their strategy seems to be to apologise abjectly (mostly verbally) and to do nothing.
Comments on Agent Fees
For the atrocious service we ought to have been reimbursed all of the fees we have paid.

It is difficult to describe all of the faults with the service we received: They have lost us money through driving tenants out of their lease by over-baring and incompetent factoring and inspections. They have lied to us. They have failed to reclaim a deposit and then attempted to charge (and double charge us) for repairs. They have failed to take steps to redress the numerous faults they have made, while openly accepting that the faults were theirs. They may have grossly overcharged us for work and replacement goods which they claimed were necessary (we cannot tell for certain, because they have lost invoices and receipts). They have lost keys and the central heating log book. The result is that we are leaving it in the hands of our solicitors while the property is currently uninhabitable and we have lost thousands in possible rent. It is to be acknowledged that they have sacked the employee who brought about most of this, but their offers to make good the repairs and losses have been poor and slow and so far (after months of wrangling) have amounted to very little.
