Avoid at all costs. All staff dealt with at the branch became increasingly rude from the moment I picked up the keys - atrociously so upon vacating the property.
During the tenancy we were charged for cleaning and repair services that were never provided (these were sporadic, often of poor standard, and were only supplied after chasing by multiple tenants over a period of weeks in the worst cases). We experienced constant late, short and rude correspondence with our house manager, and were lied to about the state of repair of the house when we were first shown the property (roof damage and disrepair in main bathroom were not disclosed).
After the tenancy I was shuffled between staff members, whom even when provided with written evidence, called me a liar and continued with other such rude correspondence. I was even attempted to be charged rent for days I was not resident at the property. My deposit was only returned upon notice being delivered to Martin & Co. that a claim was being made against them, despite attempts being made to determine when this would be processed.

We would not charge tenants for repairs or cleaning whilst in tenancy, unless they were advised upfront the reasons, and then only after the works were done. It wold be helpful if this person was able to say who they were so I could look & see what they are referring to. I have no recollection of a property with roof damage & disrepair in the main bathroom that has not been addressed & repaired. All deposits & rent over payments are dealt with once a tenant has vacated. The deposit is lodged with the DPS & we follow their protocol on how to manage a deposit return. We would not return a deposit because notice was given to us, that is most absurd! Sometimes, rent may need to be refunded back from a landlord before we can refund a tenant, this could be the only reason for a delay in this. Its very disappointing when tenants do not understand how hard my staff work at trying to help ensure things go smoothly for them at the start, during & the end of a tenancy.

Although this person has written this feedback anonymously, we know it can only be one landlord. The property was handed over to us mid tenancy in a poor condition, and the landlord was against the idea of completing works to bring it up to a better condition, when it was re-let, hence it was not attractive to potential tenants due to its condition. If this were true we would not win the payment by the DPS. There was an invoice showing a professinal clean at the start of the tenancy. Unfortunately, this tenant would never get a reference form us due to the condition he left the property in, a brand-new property when he moved in, that had to be fully re-carpeted & repainted throughout when he left. I think this person is confused as this probably should read it is their first rental property, not a first-time buyer. Confusion seems to be key in this feedback.
We always do our best to manage tenants' expectations when they constantly call to chase up on repairs. This person was so rude to our staff and expected a repair to be carried out on thier heating in a time scale that was not possible due to parts need ordering.
