Truly Exceptional service all round from Barton and Kendal. I randomly came for a viewing, but had such a laugh with Mr Style Ashley, that I arranged a second viewing to show my mum. The agent present that day was Emma who was equally lovely funny and chatty. We soon found it was a small world. I was in touch regularly on the phone to Jack and Joanne and Ashely, receiving prompt happy emails. Seriously these guys are the greatest. I sit here now with my computer all set up and feel like a could write my novel finally. SO peaceful here. I can watch the squirrels whilst finally having a space for my Father's baby grand piano. I am over the moon. The piano I grew up with!! When you walk in the estate agents itself, prepare to be mesmerised by a map covering the whole wall. It must have cost a fortune, but is worth every penny as it gave me a chance to see just where I was moving to and how far away my friends were. The office is modern and minimalist and reflects just how professional these people are at their job. But... I felt like I was talking to old friends, even though I had just met them. Really nice people, I wanted to take them all out for dinner for all they have done for me. Ashley you are a superstar, and you guided me through the whole process smoothly and expertly. Top man! Joanne you are a riot, wonderful person you, dead chatty and funny. You've got to laugh. As moving is one of the most stressful things a person can do in their life, a warm smile and sense of humour goes a long way. Emma I only met you once but you were so funny and friendly, and kind to my mum. Jack was always there to answer my call, and knew who I was and everybody is. The phone never stops ringing. Seriously much love to you guys. If you think I am going over the top here, drop by and see them at their office for yourself. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family, and have already done so. One very happy customer here, and the process was lightning quick and smooth. They've got you all the way. Perfect. In which I think must be a very demanding job. Yet they do it effortlessly and so well. Many Many Thanks

Ian completed a survey on our new house and we couldn’t recommend him highly enough. The survey was booked, completed and a summary was provided within 4 days. Once the survey had been completed we had a few questions but Ian reassured us and helped us to understand the next stages.
We would highly recommend this estate agent to anyone and only wished that we had the same experience with estate agent the house we bought was listed with.

We were disappointed with the service we received from Barton Kendal. Numerous times when we rang, we were told the agent was out and would get back to us. This didn't happen. We always had to ring them. We kept being told "we are very busy", to me this is no excuse.
We were promised that our house which we were trying to sell would be "feature of the week" and a video made to advertise it. This didn't happen.
We were not impressed with the photos of our property. The initial photo session, the flash on the camera didn't work. The second session, the photos were taken using a mobile phone. We were also told someone would come and take outside views when the weather improved - this again, didn't happen. The reason we stayed with the company, was that we were interested in buying a property which they had on their books. I just felt we were on our own in selling the property.

Terrible service. I viewed a flat yesterday. The chap showing us round arrived slightly late with no apology. He showed absolutley no interest in us at all. He didnt even say hello or give his name! Terrible service.
I viewed a flat yesterday. The chap showing us round arrived slightly late with no apology.
He showed absolutley no interest in us at all. He didnt even say hello or give his name!
He wasn't friendly or helpful, in fact his communication was so poor I would say it bordered on rude.
The flat was in a terrible state, and even had drug paraphernalia in the kitchen cupboards from the last tennant. To which he just said Oh yeah I've seen that!
Possibly not the agents fault but not great. It also seemed overpriced.
