I had Lydia and Josh as the key contacts our Sale. Both were helpful and managed to progress our house sale in good time. Whenever there was significant news we were informed straight away. However I may be being pedantic here but I think the house sale and purchase process could benefit from better communication EVEN IF there is no news. Alot of people would appreciate a regular note from their agents to update clients on what they're doing each week even no progress has been made. Currently the format is that estate agents and solicitors only contact you when an actionable event is occurring I.E paperwork to sign, payments to be made or a change in the status of something.
Regular communication from concerned parties even there is no news would be welcomed by all.

I let my property through Brown and Merry, I dealt with Tom and Stephen, fantastic service from both of them. The existing tenant said everything went smoothly, they were kept informed regarding viewings, kept to the timeframe etc.
They vetted all the prospective tenants, references etc. and gave me all the information I required to make an informed decision, in a very timely manner. They were ultra professional, I honestly couldn't recommend them and their service enough.

What a delightful experience setting up as a first time landlady I have had with Brown and Merry, Alex Read in particular.
I’d almost gone with another estate agent without shopping around based on recommendation of the other but, Brown and Merry managed to win the opportunity to gain long term agreement with myself based on excellent customer service.
I loved Alex’s enthusiasm about my property and getting involved and ability to set up multiple viewings resulting in a let agreed within a couple of days after first seeing my house . A big thank you also to Sophie for the follow up calls /emails.
Thank you for the time taken on the phone to discuss all the relevant points. I was impressed how my initial comments were taken on board immediately from our first conversation and included in the contract without me having to repeat my needs/expectations.

I went to view a property with my family. I had previously spoken to the agent Tayla and provided my details. At the property, we filled in the form to put an offer on the property. Everything seemed to go well! The following afternoon I received a missed call and voicemail from Tayla asking to confirm if we would like to go ahead with an offer. Having that I missed the call, I replied via email confirming the offer and I will be in touch the following day Friday. Come Friday, I called 7 mins after opening hours and advised the agent is on the phone and left my message once again confirming my offer. I called again, she's on the phone. Called again in the afternoon as I haven't received a call back nor acknowledgement of my email. To call this time for the gentleman to insensitively tell me they've let the property to someone else….. Considering how they've handled the matter, I would not recommend their services or agent. If you can't face and address situations, you should not be rendering a service to the public.

Will not be dealing with this estate agents again. The incompetence of the estate agents office is upsetting and disappointing, if they had taken down and confirmed her appointment then they may have let her know that another party was interested in the flat. We are now back to square one and extremely disappointed that she has lost the opportunity to let this flat.

MK branch will require you to work with their mortgage advisor in order to view or make offers for their listings. Daisy is a real credit to this branch, she's lovely, willing to help and will call to just check in even if there was no update to reassure us. Daisy is the only reason I held on with buying our new home so it'll be a great loss for that branch whilst she is on maternity.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
