We were disappointed in the service we received for the following reasons:
The price achieved in offers was 12% lower that the initial guide price we were advised to sell at.
The estate agent who met us and onboarded us did not carry out any viewings.
Agents carrying out viewings were not able to answer simple questions such as "Is there a chain?".
It was hard to get hold of people in the office to advise us of progress with our property, calls were not returned.
After cancellation of our contract we were provided with a list of introductions which did not accurately reflect the confirmed bookings we had received from the agent.

Culminating in exchange and completion within 3 days.

We moved to GPees after using, unsuccessfully, an online estate agent who frankly, did nothing to help sell our house.
GPees produced a brochure and actively marketed our property and in one week we had more viewings than we'd had over the previous four months.
They found us a buyer and kept us informed throughout the process, chased the buyer when needed and kept in contact with both sets of solicitors to ensure a smooth exchange and completion.
A truly excellent service from a dedicated team right from the beginning all the way through to the end. Nothing was too much trouble.

Gascoigne & Pees were a pleasure to work with from the start to the finish. We bought our new property through Gascoigne Pees. We first met Nic Austin at the property for our initial viewing. He was very informative of the house as well as the immediate area. Following this I dealt with Nic over the phone to negotiate the sale with the vendor. Nic provided advice on the vendors expectations which made the process easier than it may have been.
We then met with Lizzie twice at the property, once to view it for our second time and finally to measure up for curtains etc. The one visit was a Friday evening and it lasted until past 6pm, after which Lizzie was going back into the office. That was just part of her job, she said.
Finally I would like to add the communications nearing the completion day were excellent. We heard from Nic a week or so before completion to make sure all was in place which was a nice touch.
We also heard from Nic on completion day a few times to keep us up to date on the days events. As we were not paying any commission to Gascoigne Pees I was not expecting this level of communication, however, these updates helped us through the frustrating time of waiting for the funds to be transferred.
All in all, I would recommend Gascoigne Pees (Basingstoke) as an estate agent worth working with in selling a property. I know the staff make the business and from our experience, these guys have great staff. Thank you.
