It was a very lengthy difficult process but with the help of Alphabet City, it was a process that was in the end made successful thanks to Caroline (my contact at AC)
Caroline was truly outstanding from chasing incompetent management company for a painful cladding report to sluggish progress from the buyers solicitor. I was really impressed by how regularly Caroline kept me informed of progress and provided advise and guidance.
Alphabet City really showed me that there really are outstanding agents out there and Caroline and Co are testament to that! Well done Caroline, will definitely be recommending and using again in the future.
In the meantime, keep up the excellent work!

Alphabet City has been managing my rental apartment in Docklands for more than seven years. I want to say that I have always received the most magnificent service. The team there pays exceptional attention to detail both on my behalf and on behalf of my tenants. Nothing is too much trouble for them. In between tenants recently, they arranged a complete refurbishment of my apartment making sure it looked at its best to find new tenants in these difficult times for letting. They found tenants the moment the refurbishment was complete. They even discovered that, between tenants, my council tax had not been paid. So they paid on my behalf to avoid me being fined. It is hard to praise the team highly enough. I thoroughly recommend Alphabet City to anyone looking for a letting agent as they will take every iota of stress/ work from you: they really are ahead of the game. If you are looking to rent a property, they will look after you equally well. They treat the landlord and tenant with the utmost respect. They call themselves a Boutique agency. After seven years of being looked after them they really are more like a family: looking after everyone’s needs and helping everybody equally. My finances and peace if mind are so much the better for all their support. My tenants would agree.

I bought my property through Alphabet City in 2004.
Subsequently rented the same property through them, and then recently sold my property via Alphabet City - all in all a 16 year relationship!
My relationship with Alphabet City has lasted as long as it has for the following reasons:
1. They are honest.
2. They are fair.
3. They are very knowledgeable.
4. Didn’t feel like just a number as one may do with larger estate agents.
I would highly recommend Alphabet City to anyone considering selling, buying, renting properties in the Isle of Dogs area.

Within 6 months, I've let three of my properties on a full rental management basis with Alphabet City.
Their team members are excellent communicators, courteous, sensible, effective, professional people.
Two notes for landlords:
1. Care for your money - Alphabet City was good at creating win-win situations by looking after my money as their own. The check I applied was, if I was self-managing my property, could I have sourced cheaper/better contractors, cleaners, inventory reports? If yes, then I'd disappointed (and those agencies do exist, who charge commission/premium for outsourcing each job & work with a fixed, expensive panel). I've found AC to use people who are both good tradesmen/cleaners and good value - such that I couldn't negotiate much better myself. And that's what a landlord expects - that you don't add a management "premium" on top, rather use economies of scale and negotiation to bring these down. Well done to AC.
2. Applying good judgement for tenants - when selecting tenants, agents are my eyes and ears. AC apply judgement of character etc and look to back it up with reference reports, not the other way around. A credit check is not the best judge of a tenant - a face to face meeting and a gut-feel often is. And I trust AC's judgement.
As co-directors, Caroline and Michelle lead by example. A lot of my dialogue has been directly with them and I'm not surprised they've built a power team.
I will specifically commend Rebekah Ibrahim on this occasion, for keeping me regularly updated throughout during the rental process on all fronts - the tenants, the reference checks, inventory etc.
