About Chris
Born in Brighton, Chris began his career in 1988 for a small local independent agent. Following on from that he worked for a large chain of estate agents where he progressed to a senior management level. Following his acquisition of Tingleys Estate Agents, Sawyer and Co was launched and December 2013 saw the launc
h of Fine and Country Brighton & Hove. Chris is a council member of the Brighton and Hove estate agents association. He is also a member of the National Advisory Council of the Guild of Professional Estate Agents. An avid Brighton and Hove Albion supporter, Chris lives in Brighton and is married with 2 daughters.

Chris Sawyer of Fine & Country is everything you would not expect from an estate agent. He is dedicated, calm, caring and completely honest. It is absolutely no surprise therefore that he has built a team in his image. I instructed F&C to sell both mine and my father’s home and the experience has been wholly positive from start to finish. The pictures and brochure were beyond compare to give us a good head start. My primary contact was Matthew Higgins and he guided me through the whole process with enthusiasm, proving himself to be unflappable and offering calm and considered advice throughout. Matthew was always available to me and was happy to go above and beyond to get the deal done.

my only complaint was that the agents did not do due diligence on the word of the seller and it transpired I was in fact buying two flats - knocked together - tho the deeds and registrations with the freeholder had not been completed and this delayed the sale by approximately five months and forced ... my only complaint was that the agents did not do due diligence on the word of the seller and it transpired I was in fact buying two flats - knocked together - tho the deeds and registrations with the freeholder had not been completed and this delayed the sale by approximately five months and forced me to go through a mortgage application twice which was frustration tho it worked out in the end
