I’ve previously been complementary of WPR but they have been on a massive downhill trajectory based on my personal experience.
As a tenant I continually have to chase work that’s been scheduled and I am repeatedly given poor quality and inaccurate information by the maintenance team.
When I complained - the response was embarrassing to the point where the director was defending an allegation which I had not made (he created it himself), yet the point I did make was not addressed.
I’ve put up with a lot. At my last WPR flat there was a bulging roof above the shower, they did nothing about it until it collapsed (which was only minutes after having used the shower!) - to facilitate the works I had to vacate the property with no rent reduction. At my latest flat I’ve had hell with a replacement carpet - with delays being caused initially because they don’t chase a contractor then lied to me three times about when the deposit was paid.
My view is that service standards have slipped because demand outstrips supply. So tenants get treated like garbage. I like my flat, my landlords are good people but the maintenance team are a complete down to the point that I’d nor want a future property which is managed by them.

Simon truly is an exceptional letting agent. He picks up the phone in seconds every time he can, and you always get a prompt call back he can’t. I have never met anyone more genuinely dedicated to their job - he makes the rental process seamless and stressfree.
Simon continues to go above and beyond to ensure all our needs are met, whether it was arranging viewings, providing helpful advice, taking a meter reading when we had forgotten or fixing a wardrobe door the day before our tenants moved in! His friendly yet professional approach continues to make every interaction, a pleasure.
It really is quite rare to find an agent who combines such expertise with outstanding customer care, so you’re looking someone who genuinely cares about their clients and delivers exceptional results, Simon is the one. We were on the fence about whether we would be comfortable to rent out our home long term, but once this contract is up, Simon will be the only one we would be returning to, time and time again.

I purchased my house through Matthew Taylor from the Haslemere branch. Matthew was a pleasure to deal with always keeping me in the loop and being extremely accommodating with extra viewings to allow access to tradespeople. WPR have been great to work with as we bought our home in Godalming. Always friendly and brilliant communication - probably the best we've had from estate agents where we've not had to chase much at all. Of course their interests and support sits more with the sellers so it's a bit trickier in our position as buyers but this was minimal really and overall we were very happy with the service and would work with again.

One of the things I truly appreciated was Richard's constant availability. Whenever I had a question or needed something addressed, he was always contactable and responsive. This made my tenancy a stress-free experience, knowing I could rely on Richard's prompt assistance.
Thankfully, there weren't any major issues during my time at the property. However, for even the minor inquiries I had, Richard and his team were incredibly helpful and professional. They consistently went the extra mile to ensure everything was running smoothly.

By far the easiest, most enjoyable and least stressful experience I have had with any letting agency ever!
After many awful experiences in the past with renting, I was dreading the whole process and started to look months in advance to give myself plenty of time for all the mishaps that I've known to occur in the past.
I found the place on Rightmove and gave wpr a call and was instantly greeted by Richard who was so friendly and offered to show me the property the following day. Richard had helpful answers to all of my questions and I felt excited and inspired during the viewing. I immediately told him that I wanted to apply for the tenancy and within 20 minutes he had gotten approval from the landlord and we had secured it with the holding deposit!
He showed us the property again the next day and answered more of our questions and I still can't believe how quickly and smoothly everything has been.
We will be moving within the month and I feel very assured that we're in good hands and I can't thank or recommend Richard enough!

We engaged WPR in Haslemere to manage the letting of our apartment. In short, with Jack Marvin managing everything, the service provided was excellent. He was tremendously helpful and worked well with our tenant too. The letting over the months was trouble free as a consequence.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
Complaints Procedure
Warren Powell-Richards Complaints Procedure _________________________________________ 1. Please raise your complaint with the team member that you have been dealing with. If that team member cannot immediately resolve the issue to your satisfaction then please put the complaint in writing addressed to the Warren Powell-Richards Partner for that particular branch. 2. Warren Powell-Richards will acknowledge your complaint in writing within 3 working days and we will undertake a thorough and full investigation. 3. You will receive a written outcome of the investigation within 15 working days 4. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of that investigation please write to Tim Buxton, Senior Partner, Warren Powell-Richards at either our Alton offices, 78 High Street, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 1EN or via email t.buxton@wprhomes.co.uk. He will undertake a detached, further and full investigation and review the circumstances. If the complaint directly concerns Tim Buxton then we have an independent arbitrator who is a retired managing director of a national firm of estate agents who has agreed to independently review complaints on our behalf. Details will be furnished at that time. 5. You will receive a written statement setting out the review findings and expressing the final viewpoint of the Company. This concludes the Companies internal complaints procedure. 6. From initial receipt of your complaint until the final viewpoint letter should be no greater than 8 weeks. 7. Warren Powell-Richards are members of the Property Ombudsman Scheme. If you are dissatisfied with the final outcome you can refer your complaint to the Property Ombudsman at Milford House, 43 Milford Street, Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP1 2BP. www.tpos.co.uk You have twelve months to do so.
