DO NOT USE MUVE! I would put 0 stars if I could. It appears the 5 star ratings are fake. Quite possibly the worst company I have ever encountered.
I have been given a 16 week time frame to complete, and I’m currently on week 20. They use a portal to track progress, and only 37% of it is complete. They have been reviewing the ‘final enquiries’ and getting my file ready for exchange since late September. They have been telling me I will be able to complete in November, but that has not happened.
They sent me a list of possible additional fees before I was even allocated a solicitor and the work had begun, despite saying on their website ‘transparent fixed fees with no additional costs’. I have seen other reviews where people have been charged thousands extra at the end of the process. They will not send you any enquiries unless you ask for them, which is probably where the extra charges come from - doing work you have not authorised.
My solicitor went on annual leave when the file was nearing possible exchange dates, with no one reallocated to take over the case - I had to tell them to do this to avoid delay.
I have told them I need to complete by the beginning of December, which they have said I will but again this does not look likely. I have raised the matter to the complaints department who are just as useless. I was told I would be called back by them and my solicitor but neither have called me and their phone just goes to voicemail. I am now going to be made homeless due to my rental agreement coming to an end and their delays.
I sent forms for my deposit to be withdrawn back in September, and Muve did not forward these on and then completed forms incorrectly, so a few days before I am meant to complete my deposit withdrawal process hasn’t even started. I have had to sort this out myself, doing their job for them.
According to Law Society, Muve aren’t even regulated by SRA. You are meant to be made aware about this, however I have not.
I have been reading through an abundance of reviews and all seem to have similar issues. Appears some conveyancers may not even be legally qualified.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
