After not finding a suitable place to live for nearly three months, I walked into Winkworths in despair and met Jesse Oteri who changed that all around. Within 24 hrs he sent me details of a beautiful property which he worked diligently , to a high standard of professional efficiency, responsive to our needs, politeness and care and got us a place to call home’ first time round! Definitely recommend . Thank you we are ever so grateful !

On the 2nd of February 2021 at 1pm their Head of Office conducted a valuation at my property. A week later on the 10th February I had NOT received the valuation so phoned the office to chase it up. I was told the Head of Office will be informed and a valuation will follow shortly.
The next day I received an email from Head of Office (without the valuation attached) presumptuously stating: "On this occasion and with the strategy that you outlined for this particular instruction of yours, we won’t be interested in marketing the property with that many multiple agents" His email went on further to state: "however due to the high level of marketing we provide to clients and the brand we represent, we would prefer to step back on this one"
I am no expert but the Head of Office refusing potential business due to multiple agents is outrageous!
I received a phone call from the Head of Office following my verbal complaint to the branch NOT trying to rectify the assumptions he had made but to justify them!
From my point of view, the moment I did NOT receive the valuation but instead received an email declining my property based on assumptions made I lost all faith in Winkworth Crystal Palace and their ability to provide a suitable service for me or anyone not wanting to make them sole agents.
The purpose of my negative review is to highlight the type of person managing Winkworth Crystal Palace.

Being in the process of selling my property I have approached different estate agents in C.palace. I was lucky to Alex, the branch manager of Winkworth in CPalace. Straight away I knew I would have received a top level service. In reality the all team went above my expectations. The were super professional,in particular Alex knows the market very well. The level of service and attention to detail was amazing. I really appreciated the constant feed back received by Alex and the team during the process of selling my property, it as definitely above my expectations( I’m a former banker with high level of expectations). If you are looking for a serous , professional estate agent don’t wast your time and stop at Winkworth. Thanks Alex and the team for looking after my sale!!

We went to view the property we are now living in back in August. It was in an appalling state of disarray - stickers on walls, writing, dirt everywhere, stains and paint on carpet. They clearly had not been keeping on top of the management checks as this was way beyond what I would call a normal state of domestic messiness. However, the house itself is absolutely lovely, so subject to a number of things being done we agreed to take it on. These were agreed to verbally and again by phone. We put these in writing and paid the holding fee. We were told the carpets were being quoted for and that the house would be repainted. 5 weeks later and just over a week to move in we requested to see the property. We were told they were still painting so could we delay it by a few days. We did and when we turned up the walls had just been white washed, paint tubs were everywhere and we were told the carpets were not going to be changed as there was no budget. Naturally, given these were truly disgusting, we said if they didn't redress this as we had requested upon taking the contract, we would pull out. They then got the carpets put in. However, this meant that the downstairs cellar - which was an additional pull for us - was going to be used by the landlady to store all her furniture, in order to offset the expense of the carpets. When we moved in - we found that what were light blue and green walls were barely covered by the one or two coats of paint they put on the walls - in fact, in cornices and picture hooks, the underlying paint is clearly showing through. Some walls hadn't even been completed, but left half done. The garden was completely overgrown with weeds - they had merely mown the lawn - and there was moss coming through the brickwork and a pile of garden waste left at the bottom of the garden. The windows that were supposed to have been cleaned had tape on them and half the appliances, that we had requested to be checked, didn't work properly. We had also asked that an extra bolt be added to the door - and this was also agreed to verbally - however we have now been told if we want it we have to install it ourselves. Their attitude appears to be one of intense disinterest in anything past the sell. And certainly there does not appear to be any attention given to professional pride or integrity. In fact - most of our exchanges have been unhelpful - not least because we have had to repeat ourselves numerous times to get anything done (we are now on request 4 for the outdoor lighting to be fixed). We also found that the hob, which didn't work and had to be replaced, was covered by the landlady's Britishgas cover - and yet they did not bother to check this and so ordered and installed it on account. There are no words for the frustration of our experience with this agency. First world problems - and still. I'd like to not have a battle and numerous chasing phone calls every time we ask for something to be done that should have been done by them in the first place.

I've contacted Winkworth's Crystal Palace branch in order to book a viewing at a property I was willing to buy as I even had the budget for it and would've probably put an offer (if I would've managed to visit it) but it took the agency 4 working days to contact me back. Mr Ryan called me asking if I was still interested in viewing the property (which is quite obvious) without showing any kind of care for the work he does and advised me he would contact me as soon as he got the keys to the property (as if it would take long considering the flat was already being offered for some time). After this contact, I never received any further call from them, even though I chased them once and left message to the agent.
