The team at surelet come across is very helpful to begin with.Just before I moved out they increased the rent by 26% and when I ask them why they blamed the landlord. Having cleaned the place from top to bottom. I was very disappointed to be given a charge when they did their inspection of the property.They charged me £250 for a cleaning bill. They also continued to take money for my account after my settlement date was over and took a week to respond and replace my funds to my bank account.
Sarah Fisher is at best useless and will blame everybody else for her adequacies, she will go around with a fine tooth comb trying to find fault and charge the tenants in order to make more money for the landlord.
The property was rundown cold and dirty when I took it over.
Please not waste your money with this organisation as they are at best unprofessional uncaring and then sympathetic.

Never again! They seemed friendly and helpful at first until issues starting popping up within the property, took constant nagging to get any help and in the end just gave up. Asked to be released from tenancy early even paid a fee to do so. Was nagged constantly about getting packed up so they could film a video for the online viewings and was then told that I had to pay more money to them till the new tenants move in. Absolutely disguested with the treatment I received.

If I had known this lot would be this unprofessional I would have avoided. If only the guy who showed us around the property had been our manager as he actually seemed to know what he was doing. Our first property manager had no idea that "we have no Internet" means ring us with updates, I shall say no more as we heard little from her as she refused to talk about issues unless it was via email. Our new one "Sarah" seems to not know the meaning of professional, and is unable to keep a level head when talking to tenants on the phone. After a few phone conversations with her she has began to be quite short tempered, rude, and to put it quite bluntly not fit for the role. She is unable to speak to people in a calm and collected manner without snapping. We are going through an awful situation at the moment with the property we are in, and her attitude does not make it any better. Honestly, I could get more professionalism out of a wall. At least it does its job successfully. I get that what I'm saying is rude, but I wish I had recorded some of the things this woman has said over the phone because I was disgusted and appealed at her attitude. If this is what type of staff surelet like to hire, I'd like to warn people to avoid them, as I will be in the future. I hope that in some way someone in surelet sees these, which I doubt they will, because I doubt they care, but I hope they do, and I hope something is done about this woman as, if she is speaking to tenants who are going through a really rough time like this, literally causing distress, how many other has she or will she treat like this. Its appalling.

I agree with other reviews - they are nice and friendly when they show you around but their service after you sign up is shocking. You cannot contact them on the phone - they either don't pick up or when they do they cannot speak to you - they agree to call back but never do. If they need something from you they are on you constantly but if you need them they just delay and delay things with terrible excuse and a real blame culture against their colleagues. They seem to have a very high turn over of staff - if your agent leaves they don't tell you and emails just go unanswered. They do not keep records of previous conversations or letters even they send to you so have no audit of what is going on with the property you are in. Communication is completely dire. When they do finally communicate they have no clue what they are doing, and are full of contradictions. If you do use them you need to keep copies of EVERYTHING - every email and notes of phone conversations and all letters or they will deny everything. Their out of hours service is also shocking - they give bad advice and also have no idea what they are doing. I had a terrible experience every time I had to contact them and other businesses they worked with were not shy in telling me they experienced the same.

I rented via this bunch just over two years ago (only just found this site). Despite the fact I was paying £1000 a month rent, when I had to ring them I was spoken to like something scraped off a shoe by everyone ,including the receptionist! once I left the property they then tried to claim 'damages'. Luckily I had photographs so they had to back off. I would never rent from them again, they are terribly nice when showing you around, once you have paid the deposit however it is a completely different story. I am now renting via an amazing agent, incredibly helpful and courteous, so it is possible...

woefully over priced for the service they provide...
£105 reference and it took me 3 minutes to fill...
entry and exit check costs over £100 in total for a nothing job as they missed everything..

let me start by saying if it was possible i would give this minus stars. On first applying through the agency all seemed to be fairly good, application went through quickly and easily and i was moved in within 2 weeks. However then all the problems started to arise, within a month of moving into the property i noticed that my clothes, the carpet and my bedding was constantly damp or soggy, after emailing and calling for 3 days i finally got a response that someone would be coming round to look at it. a month later after receiving no further word, even after sending several emails, i contacted the council to do a health check as i now had water leaking through the external facing walls and puddles forming on my floor. The council did nothing due to the fact that my landlord worked in this department of the council. (amazingly convenient i know!) The damp and mould issues got so bad that i actually developed pneumonia, however i could not afford to leave the property and surelet refused to cancel my contract despite the house being in such a state, i ended up moving everything and living in the front room, sleeping on the sofa for 8 months of my tenancy. and what was my bedroom turned into a mould filled room with mushrooms growing out of the floor and the carpet rotted through from the constant damp in the property. Despite ringing every two weeks to ask when something would be done, the only replies i ever heard where, that the Agent in charge of my property was "on lunch", or that they were waiting to hear back from contractors, and this went on for 9 months where, in the final month of my tenancy, contractors suddenly starting turning up at my door to price up jobs for surelet to fix it (miraculous i know).
despite the fact i was living in one room surelet still insisted i payed full rent for the supposedly 4 room property
oh and it took them 2 weeks to fix my cooker after short circuiting due to the previous contractor they used.
been out of the house for over a month with no deposit being returned and no reason to the with holding either, so will be taking them to court over that.

The agents completely ignore every request you make time and time again, whether it is fixing items in the building or you requesting your deposit back. If you want something from them, prepare to wait months and constant nagging and calling before they decide to act.
