The worst estate agents I have ever used. As if it isn't hard enough having to rent a home, Romans like to make sure they make your life hell and rip you off for every single penny you have. Of communication. In recent dealings with my property manager Lori Ross, I have lost all faith. She seems utterly incompetent and complete inability to understand the most basic problem. She quite conveniently has a list as long as your arm if things that she doesn't get involved with
In a tenancy. Which leaves me wondering exactly what she does do?! She certainly always takes the landlords side and epitomises the culture if stitch up the tenant and try and lay as much blame on them as possible. I have lived in my house in farnborough for a year now and nothing has gone right since I moved in. An estate agent and staff should not prompt the reason to want to move on from a property you otherwise like to rent, but she certainly does this. I hope romans read this and deal with her as she needs to learn some manners and ways of dealing with her tenants in a polite manner. What a rude human being!

I am buying Jas's house (see previous review). I agree with everything she has said, Nick and Natalie have held our chain together from start to finish. We wouldn't have exchanged yesterday if Natalie hadn't called ahead to every solicitor in the chain asking them to get ready for the phone calls. Exchanging at 5.15 on a Friday was not an easy thing to do! There were a few days this week when I thought the chain was going to fall apart and I was falling apart with it. Natalie held me together and helped me push to get the job done. They believe that communication between all parties is the way to achieve a succesful completion of a chain and I agree with them. Thank you Nick and Natalie!

Romans were proficient and friendly from the outset, and totally professional throughout the 2.5 month process from advertising to exchange.
From my first call to them for advertising, a team of 3 (Nick, James and Daniel) were at my house that very evening taking pictures and measurements in order to make the brochures. We had a plan to have an open-house to get a quick sale, but within 3-4 days they had managed to gather enough quality interest that I had an excellent buyer and was able to proceed within the week with a short chain. They also gave excellent advice to other Agents in the Chain to make the right decisions!
While the process took 2.5 months from start to end, both Nick and Natalie was highly comunicative with all parties involved and it helped they knew the Solicitors involved in most parts of the chain from their long term experience in the field. Being able to manage expectations and ensure everyone was talking to one another wasn't always easy in this sale, but I'm really happy and highly recommend this Team, who were so friendly and professional through-out.

They said that they would check with vendor and get back to us but never did and I asked more than once! Ended up finding out it was integrated through our/vendors' solicitor not long before exchange. The fact that they have dedicated move department did not seem obvious to us!

Also found them difficult to deal with during negotiations - I know that estate agents want to get the best for their client but felt that they were trying to get us to raise our offer before even asking the vendors. On both occasions that we put in an offer there was always someone else who wanted to view the property for the first time and was 'very interested' or a 'cash buyer'....

I have found Romans in the past not very officacent, however since Sandra Harris has been dealing with 37 Cranford avenue, on my behave I have been pleasantly very happy with the service she has provided. James was so professional, this was not the easiest sales. Given a uncooperative tennant in the property at time of advertising!!
