Comment on agent fees
We felt the fees were very expensive at two weeks rent, especially as our rent is relatively substantial. I feel sorry for the people that have to pay more. Possibly a cap on the amount charged should be implemented as I assume the level of work required for each property is the same irrelevant of the price of the rent.

Fees are higher than I have recently been given by estate agents in Bristol (they are offering 1.25%) but I didn't shop around in Bracknell. I don't think I'm in a position to know whether the agent achieved the best price possible.
