Im not going to repeat what everone else on here has stated, but I agree with all the negative comments. I have rented properties for years, and Essex & Suffolk are by far the worst company I have delt with. We had a leak in the kitchen, and it took them 13 weeks to get the leak fixed (2 of the weeks, we had a bucket in the kitchen catching the water!!!!) We moved into a property with no lock on the back door, so could just be opened from the outside (that only took 6 months to fix!!!!) We had to pay ‚£200 to check OUT of the property (which apparently is for a professional to put together a inventory check - it took 10 mins!!!!) Terrible, terrible customer services, never phoned me back. I used to have to lie about who I was for them to answer the phone. If I used my own name, they would be "on the phone, will get them to call you back".... which never happened. I know you don't look for the estate agents, but the property when looking to rent, BUT I would advise anyone thinking about renting from them to seriously think twice. I feel cheated rating them as high as 1 star!!!!

Very rude and unhelpful keeps throwing legal jargon at us and wont answer the phone. She is blatantly getting commission off the deposits.

they are not trained people and dont know what they are doing when you quote the housing act, the best thing for this company is disapear

Be polite Be honest and not be devious as a means of collecting rip off charges. Please do not make your clients feel deviants.

Behaved in a professional compassionate manner with proper customer service skills....and actually communicated with me.

By simply communicating with me in a professional manner rather than ignoring half of my emails and phone calls. By being honest with me as they claimed that no extra charges were put on the tenant and having spoken to them directly this is exactly what happened. By concluding the business arrangement within a timely manner rather than me having to chase everything and it being 6 weeks on and i still dont have the keys back for the property. By charging reasonable fees, 90% of one months rent for contract renewal with a tenant who is already in the property having done research is completely disproportionate to any costs for the agent. I could go on and on, their service since i gave notice has been unbelievably terrible annd i cant imagine anything they could do to make me use their service again. I think i would even turn them down if they offered to manage the property for free, thats how bad their service has been..
