We recently changed Estate Agents and we were very impressed with the Burchell Edwards. We met Amanda and she listened to what we wanted.
The viewings were speedily arranged and professionally managed by Olivia. Her preparation was excellent. She arrived early and made sure that the property was advertised to maximum effect. By midday we had received two offers. The service was fantastic.

They are not even worth the 1 star that I have to give to proceed with this review!
I didn't have the choice with what agent I used to sell my property due to it being shared ownership! Burchell Edwards are by far the worst experience I have ever encountered. Customer service non-existent, regular updates non-existent, following instruction non-existent. JUST THE WORST EVER.
I agreed a sale on my property on the 2nd December 2022. Having completed all the normal docs, instructing my solicitor etc as soon as the sale was agreed. I chased the branch for an update, to be told that sales progression is dealt with by a different office. It was then 2 months since I agreed the sale and was told firstly that they couldn't discuss with me as I was not the client. Having dealt with this issue, I was then updated that the sale had not progressed at all as the purchaser had not instructed a solicitor! A whole 2 months wasted and no one from Burchell Edwards thought that they should let me know! they erected a sale board outside my property without my consent. Having called them and ask them to move as it was a security issue and was blocking the view from my front door, they never actioned, and the board was never moved. I ended up taking down myself due to the security concern that I had!
I can continue with endless issues that this company has done during the process of selling my house, but there are so many that it will go on forever.
Formal complaint ignored for weeks and weeks. Now I have finally had a response, they haven't reviewed the file at all, they have mentioned the wrong branch and clearly haven't taken any time to view what I was complaining about!
My advice to anyone that is looking to sell a property is to AVOID BURCHELL EDWARDS at all costs! If I had the choice, I would be using Smart Homes or Black & Golds. In fact, I would use anyone other than Burchell Edwards as surely no other agent can be as bad as these!!

They did eventually sell the house but only because I liaised with the buyer and discovered that the hold-ups were being caused by his solicitors and mortgage brokers who had been recommended to him by Burchell Edwards!

It took 6 months for them to sell a house with no chain and if we hadn't sorted it out, I doubt it would be sold now. I have bought and sold quite a few houses and this is the worst experience I have ever had with a firm of estate agents.
I will never use this firm again.

We explained the games they were playing to their vendor and she had no idea. Totally unprofessional on all aspects, no customer service. I feel sorry for the lady who has paid this branch to sell her property

Just wanted to share my experience with Burchell Edwards in specific Patrick Gene who is the Mortgage broker here.
Very competitive and very professional individual who is very highly educated with what's best for your needs inregards to mortgage products and terms .
This guy knows his onions and is very well trained in mortgages and has many different options with so many different lenders which in return makes Patrick very popular and gives him the leading edge over other brokers in this area.
Very polite very courteous and very well spoken and from the minute I first walked through his office door he never made me feel uncomfortable or nervous in any way whatsoever.
It's very very important to have the right person on the job from the very start and anyone who is after a good mortgage product certainly needs to come and speak with this individual.

I would implore you to walk away the minute you see this estate agents not with the hassle or even a penny of the admin costs they take off you at the start of the process.
