Having spoken to three different "agents", I was assured I'd receive a confirmation email from the "vendor" himself. It seemed strange that the company seemed as disjointed as the man on the phone suggested, and was a warning sign of what was to follow.
Having received no email or confirmation from the vendor, merely the agent, I contacted the company the morning of the viewing to find out what was going on. They said there had been a miscommunication, and that they would re arrange for 10am. I explained it was now too late for 10am, and would require 11am.
The confirmation email came through for 10am
I called again to remind them that we had agreed 11am, so they sent another two emails confirming 11am.
Arrive at 11am - no one there. Call up - "there's been a miscommunication between the vendor and the agent. He's not coming. Sorry". I explained that I had taken time out of work to arrange this, and was met with very little in terms of understanding.
Avoid this company like the plague. I will not use this company again, no matter how much I like the property and will be sharing my experiences with my friends, family and contacts in property.

I have been trying book a viewing for over two weeks. I have tried on line booking but they don't get confirmed. I have phoned Tepilo 4 tiimes, left voice mail, email and used the request call back without any progress. I pity the poor person trying to sell the house as we really want to buy but can't get anywhere.

After 2 months with Tepilo I threw in the towel. They simply do not know the local market. However the reason I am here is there total lack of concern over their shockingly poor valuations and there choice to completely ignore my situation.
Advised me to go on at £225k, weeks of nothing, drop to £200k still nothing, drop to £175k a single viewing of which I received no feedback. It was at this point I could no longer take their advice as they simply didn't have a clue.
Local agents valued the property with a very top end figure of £175k which they described as unlikely. All the extras I paid for are worthless if they advise terrible valuations. I requested that my situation be reviewed and after being promised call backs on the 3 occasions and having 3 customer service emails completely ignored I am here to warn others. They do not care if they are getting paid anyway, simple as that.

Impossible to ask questions or get updates.
I'm just trying to buy through them, so I hope they are cheap to sell through as they must be good at something.

Having booked in a local agent with them to come and give our house a valuation, the agent never turned up. When I rang Tepilo, a gentleman said the lady who had booked in the agent was on the phone and they'd call me back... they never did. Appalling company and Sarah Beeny needs to get her endorsement off here.

I only had one viewing for my flat. The viewer told me that he was unhappy with Tepilo as they did not respond to his original interest in the flat. He had to repeat his request to view the flat. This has made me look se confidence in Tepilo as it makes me wonder how many times this happened and prospective buyers didn't follow it up. I was also very unhappy about having to write my own description of property as I was under the impression that's what I paying Tepilo for. Their was also a delay with the flat going onto the market. I was told that they were waiting for Home report even though I knew they had it.

I was the first person to ring and try to book a viewing on a property we really liked the look of as soon as it appeared on rightmove (wed), I was told someone would ring me back to arrange (nobody did). I rang back the next day (thurs) and was told I could go Sun at 1pm to view, unfortunately I had a prior engagement so arranged a viewing for the following weds at 4pm. On Sat I noticed it was now showing under offer on rightmove so my husband rang to see why, he was told someone would call him back (nobody did). On Monday morning I checked rightmove and the under offer had disappeared, only to check an hour later, when it said SOLD. I rang Tepilo straight away to see what on earth was going on. I was told because I had not verified the email sent to me to book the viewing (no email received!!!!) the viewing was not confirmed. When I disputed this I was then told I was on a list of people who were going to get a call that morning to cancel viewings!!!. How can this be good practice?? No calls back ever? and to sell a property before all interested parties had a chance to view? RUBBISH Very, Very, Disappointing.

But having said all that Tepilo saved me about 5 grand in estate agent fees. I would use them again. And am sure their customer service will improve as the company stabilised its growth spurt. 5 grand is 5 grand even if I had to do a bit of donkey work and chasing.

Had the most frustrating experience with Tepilo.
We bought through Tepilo and sold our previous property at the same time through a local estate agent and cannot explain the vast difference in service we received.
From the start it was difficult to book a viewing through their website, so much so that I gave up and didn't book. It was only that the property was still there 1 month later that I tried again by calling them up. Unhelpful staff who just said email the vendor.
As a seller I would be incredibly upset knowing that people were finding it difficult to book a viewing of our property.
Essentially the biggest disadvantage of Tepilo is that they don't actually do any of the expected estate agent tasks, they basically just put the house on Rightmove. The price is so low because you do the work yourself, phone calls, chasing solicitors, chasing surveys etc etc. Unfortunately as a buyer we didn't even get the advantages of their cheap rates, we just got the bad experience.
We were most upset when our survey came back with some significant concerns which meant we needed to negotiate our offer with the buyers. I contacted Tepilo who told me to "just email the seller yourself" Being in the position we were in I didn't want to speak with the sellers directly, the whole point of going through an agent is so you don't need to have awkward conversations regarding price negotiations and the current state of their home. We had to visit the sellers in their home to have the discussions and found this particular experience extremely unpleasant.
Communication throughout is slow and sometimes non existent. A number of emails sent with no response until I called. Even then I was always told someone would call back, which they did, days later. Our solicitors, mortgage company, surveyors and estate agents we were selling with all had difficulty in contacting Tepilo.
No communication on how to collect keys, again did direct with the buyer so they were still in the house when we turned up which was not a nice way to enter our newly purchased home.
I certainly wouldn't recommend Tepilo, both for their poor service and the experience they give your buyer. What I will say is that as a buyer you might benefit from a lower offer through Tepilo, they don't make it easy so there is less competition from other buyers (the house we bought was on the market for considerably longer than others in our local area so we knew we didn't need to put in a high offer).
You really get what you pay for, and in this case that meant very little. If your only concern is cheap rates and you are happy to deal with the stress, negotiations and a much more delayed service then go for Tepilo. If you want you sanity, time, friendly & helpful staff and a quick and smooth sale, avoid!

I sold another property in the time this one has sat there which was properly marketed. The fees were more but it was done professionally and quickly. Internet based estate agent seems like a good idea but fundamentally doesn't work, you need human interaction. When I give Tepio this feedback its like water off a ducks back. Clearly there used to it.
Avoid at all costs and stick with a proper estate agent.

Now going with a local estate agent who can match buyers to the property sadly tepilo have failed in that respect although I have found their staff polite and friendly but that doesn't sell your house.

Consequently, the number of viewings has been very low and no offer has been made. This is not surprising as my home has been overvalued by a considerable amount. The "valuation" asks for my agreement to the sale price and my comments. Just why am I paying for a "professional service" if I am supposed to perform the value judgements that professionals are to perform.
I complained to Tepilo about this failure to exercise their duty of care towards me and the responses are derisory. They have failed to deal with each point raised, but have chosen to take the money from my bank account despite me cancelling the contract. I now have to take them to the small claims court to recover the fees.
Customer service has been abysmal if non-existent and there is no proper complaints procedure. The Company fails to be accountable for its lack action.

Even to the last minute they promised to send me a discounted invoice, but this was just a tactic top stall me whilst they plundered my account.
