Cameron Stephen & Co. were fantastic the whole way through our house buying process, especially as nervous first time buyers. During the viewings and offers stage, Hazel was fantastic and always very quick to respond. Once we had our offer accepted, wonderful Fiona did all the leg work and made sure we had all necessary paperwork and missives completed in a timely manner as well as patiently explained everything to us. Really pleased with everything and we can't thank them enough their hard work and friendliness throughout a daunting process.

I was delighted with the conveyancing service I received from Cameron Stephen and can recommend them. My work was led by Fiona Duff with support from Fiona White. There was excellent attention to detail at all times. I found it easy to contact the staff using their direct mobile phone numbers. I was particularly impressed when one of my calls was returned at 19.30hrs. I think that the client guides to the legal process are a particular strength.

My wife and I recently bought a property with the assistance of Cameron Stephen & Co. The service we received was absolutely first-rate.
Once we decided to buy a property, and having contacted several legal firms in Edinburgh, we selected Cameron Stephen because of their excellent reputation and competitive pricing. Over the following 18 months, we viewed dozens of properties, routinely asking Jayne McAllister or Fiona White to register a note of interest, who did so willingly while providing expert advice on realistic offer amounts based on the relative buoyancy of the local market.
Having missed out on a handful of places, the team at Cameron Stephen never lost patience with us and we eventually had an offer accepted. Fiona Duff, whose diligence and thoroughness were remarkable, then handled the legal conveyancing.
Our new home is a basement flat in a Grade B-listed building, which presented more than a few challenges to the buying procedure. Without going into too many specifics, Fiona's solution-focused approach overcame each impediment one hurdle at a time. Had it not been for this level of calm professionalism, the sale could have easily fallen through.
Fiona kept my wife and I updated regularly, always taking the time to carefully outline our options when a decision was required. Her attention to detail gave us great confidence that the purchase of our new home was done correctly.
I have no hesitation in recommending the whole team at Cameron Stephen – thank you for an excellent experience.

We recently purchased a property with the assistance of Cameron Stephen and found the service and staff to be engaging, supportive and professional. The purchase took longer than anticipated and uncovered a number of complexities at the conveyancing stage, all of which were thoroughly and efficiently dealt with by Fiona. Throughout a lengthy process Fiona’s communication was first class and we always felt that issues (and their resolutions) were explained clearly and that we were kept updated on the progress of our purchase. My partner and I have now used Cameron Stephen & Co twice to purchase and sell our properties and have found their service to be absolutely excellent. In our experience as first time buyers, Cameron guided us through the steps with patience, explaining the unfamiliar process and always keeping us fully informed of how our purchase was progressing.
When both buying and selling together we were teamed up with Jayne, whose expert knowledge of the temperamental property market aided us in navigating these recent tumultuous times. She provided us with relevant knowledge on all properties we were considering, giving us context on the area and sales of recent comparable properties. Jayne helped us to market our flat really effectively, and had our property photographed, arranged a home report and then marketed within a week of successfully offering on a new house. We were thrilled with the amount of interest our property gained and with the outcome of our sale, and found Jayne to be very clear and prompt in her communication with us.
Cameron yet again undertook the conveyancing aspect really efficiently and provided very helpful reports that explained all aspects of our offer, purchase, deed etc. Our completion day and move went really smoothly thanks to this.

There was excellent attention to detail at all times. I found it easy to contact the staff using their direct mobile phone numbers. I was particularly impressed when one of my calls was returned at 19.30hrs.
I think that the client guides to the legal process are a particular strength.
