Sarah Kenny relocated from London to Bristol in the mid-1980s with her husband, Tony Kenny. They were looking for a home to rent but the minefield of letting agents pushing a multitude of properties that didn’t meet their brief resulted in a time-consuming and frustrating experience.
There was a clear need for a
bespoke lettings agency in Bristol that would specialise in matching quality apartments and houses with individuals, couples and families who preferred to work with an agency who immediately understood their requirement, accurately filtered suitable properties and provided a personal, intuitive service that made the potentially stressful business of moving, pleasurable and calm.
In 1990, Sarah Kenny Residential Lettings was launched, with the first office being located in Sarah’s spare bedroom! Eight months later and with eight managed properties, Sarah teamed up with fellow director Peter Allen and they moved into a Clifton-based office.
Fast forward thirty years and the business is still thriving. With a professional background in HR, Sarah has always prioritised the happiness and well-being of her team members who she firmly believes are the heart of the business. Having a healthy work-life balance where every member of the team feels valued and appreciated is reflected in the calibre of service provided to our clients.

Friendly service and was kept informed throughout the whole process. Viewing was done very well and agent showed us around explaining all the details. Kept in contact through emails. They also kept me updated throughout the referencing process where some delays occurred however these were sorted. From 2009 to 2021, we rented out our flat in Redland via Sarah Kenny. Their service was excellent throughout. Rebecca McKelvey deserves special mention here for always selecting dream tenants (i.e. they all got their deposits back in full). Even better, Rebecca usually managed to find them within one week of previous tenants departing.

She has a good knowledge of local contractors and is quick to respond to any request from the internal management company. Overall it has been a great experience working with her.

Sarah Kenny Residential Lettings have managed several properties for us for over 20 years.
The service they provide to both landlords and tenants is excellent; we have always been well looked after and well informed by all the staff. We are particularly impressed by Hayley and the property management team, who organise all the safety checks and certification required for rental proberties without us having to worry about it. If a concern is raised by tenants, Hayley will not only inform us promptly but will already have a solution and reasonably priced contactors on hand to carry out the work. Experiencing this high standard of service from Sarah Kenny, we have recommended them to several friends and colleagues.
