I recently sold a retirement property through Rice & Roman (R&R) having previously the same property via their lettings arm.
In all my dealings with R&R over some ten years + they have always been extremely helpful, going beyond expectation on many occasions, and were always very responsive to my enquiries.
In the matter of selling the property their market knowledge was clearly very well honed and their management of the actual selling process left me feeling assured that my best interests were held to the fore at all times.
Of particular note was Gavin Torry, R&R's Sales Manager, who did a fantastic job of stewarding the various parties all the keeping me informed as to progress.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending Rice & Roman in either a Sales or Rental Management capacity.

Rice & Roman's very professional and helpful approach throughout [what turned out to be] the somewhat protracted sale of my mother's flat was much appreciated. Josh, who was my initial contact, offered guidance and practical support even before the sale was placed with his firm. He, and others in the team, kept me informed throughout the process and 'chased' not only my solicitor, but all the others involved in the chain, so as to keep things moving. The commission rate is slightly higher than some other firms charge, but I feel the service provided is worth the small additional cost. I would certainly recommend them to anyone interested in buying or selling a retirement flat.

I can thoroughly recommend Rice and Roman I had an excellent experience with them.
After losing my mum I had to sell her flat and was finding it difficult to understand exactly what to do and how to go about it. As I know Rice and Roman often sell apartments in Mums block I asked them to do a valuation for probate. This was done quickly and efficiently so it was natural to use them for the sale. This was handled with care and at a speed that I wanted to move at which was slow to start with due to so much else going on. They found a buyer quickly and everything moved forward seemingly effortlessly. We completed end of August. I can’t thank them enough, especially Tom who I dealt with most of the time.

Our mother moved into a retirement appartment at Dial Stone Court, Weybridge. She spent 4 happy years there before succumbing to dementia and moved to a care home. In a challenging market - Brexit, Lockdown, the Truss premiership and cost of living crisis, Tom Ward always tried to find the right clients to purchase the property. Tom was unfailingly kind, courteous and helpful. Always returned our calls and gave us advice immediately. We sold the property this summer and would have no hesitation in recommending Rice and Roman for these specialist property sales. They know the market and have a solid customer base.
