Received an excellent service from Chamberlains. I was updated and informed of any changes throughout the whole process. They communicated well with all the various professionals during the sale bringing it to a very successful conclusion....in fact I would say they went the extra mile....nothing seemed too much trouble. Having bought and sold many properties over the years I can say without a shadow of doubt that Chamberlains are one of the most efficient and professional agents I have dealt with, and would have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family.

Although my house took quite a while to sell I feel this was due to the market situation - not a fault of Chamberlains. I dealt mostly with Helen Potts who is extremely smart and totally professional in all my dealings with her. Feedback from viewings was prompt and informative. The team working with her on my house sale (Jo and Yvonne) were also very helpful and positive so I felt confident that they were doing all they could to get me a buyer.

I had only viewed one property in Teignmouth with Helen but when a house came up that was close to my requirements she remembered me and contacted me and we agreed a viewing time swiftly as there had already been a lot of interest in it.
I liked the property as soon as I saw it and offered the asking price straight away.
Helen negotiated and returned feedback to the seller who was pleased to accept my offer.
There have been time constraints on both myself and the seller-I had already sold and moved out of my old house and needed a place to rent for a brief period, wanting to be in a new place by Christmas.
The seller wished to buy a retirement flat and the proviso for her was that she had completed before Christmas. Due to Helen's professionalism the contracts were exchanged in approximately 7 weeks and the move takes place on this coming Wednesday! Helen was also able to recommended a property for rental where I have been living for the past month. When telephoning the Chamberlains office I spoke several times to Heather and was impressed with her responses to my questions.
I would not hesitate to recommend Chamberlains Estate agents and if and when in the future I come to put this property on the market I will definitely be engaging Chamberlains.

The house sold very quickly being in popular area, but was also an indication of good valuation and marketing.

As a rule I find most Estate Agents untrustworthy, lazy and sometimes reluctant to fit you in for an early viewing. I use an online agent when selling as the High Street agents can't complete with price.
Saying that, I have bought and sold numerous times over the last few years and always sought out Chamberlains to help me find a property. The staff at Teignmouth always go out of their way to help. They will always fit you in for viewings quickly, going out of their way to work around you. I viewed the last property I bought through them at least six times and then after some extremely long and tricky negotiations I went back to measure/show family a further four times. They never complained, nothing was too much trouble. A great, knowledgable service which I would recommend.

It was a tricky property to sell and value as it was unique in the fact it was in two flats with no leases sorted and being once a working company with land previously carved up. Helen asked all the right questions about leases, the land and the old company and gave options of how to sell and what type of buyer might be interested. She said that they embraced a challenge. Max came and took some great photos. Within a day or two of it being marketed (not yet on Right Move) it was under offer. We came across a few tricky conveyancing issues and both Helen and Max were on hand to sort them. We completed in mid November and it was only put on the market in June. Thank you Chamberlains.

We found the customer service provided by Chamberlains to be very good. The only negative point I would make is that the initial marketing valuation was significantly higher than that realised. However two other local agents valued it at the same marketing price. Whether this was a genuine mistake by all 3 or a ploy to get the business I do not know. By valuing the property incorrectly I believe the field of prospective purchasers was reduced and therefore extended the time it took to sell the property which did neither the agents or ourselves any good.
