Awful, incompetent staff. "Lost" rent payments then sent us a letter from a debt collection agency stating if it wasnt paid in 7 days we would be taken to court for money owed to the tune of £1300! Upon receiving proof of payment from us via bank statements they then retracted this with no apology, only saying they just dont know where the money has gone. Our landlord, presumably as sick of this company as we are, has now taken steps to remove all of his properties from A&W - leaving my family, including a 9month old baby - with an eviction notice which, after being told over the phone this was happening a week ago, no formal letter has arrived. Issues with the flat that we rent have never been chased up at all, most have been sorted and paid for by ourselves as we got fed up with waiting. The staff, particularly David, are downright rude & dont seem to have a clue how to do the job they are employed to do! The only member of staff who is helpful at all is a man named Roy, who appears to spend most of his time dealing with the numerous cock ups by his colleagues. AVOID DEALING WITH THIS BRANCH AT ALL COSTS, AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!

I completely agree with this, Luke. As a current tenant (unfortunately) they have zero respect and a complete disregard for us. We had the EXACT same problem with a rental payment that Countrywide had lost, again with no apology once it was mysteriously 'found'. In fact, they blamed it on me not using the correct reference. A & W never gave us a reference. The communication in their small office is beyond appalling and all of the staff that we've spoken to are curt and arrogant. They only care for landlords and MONEY.
